-EPSON 9800 PRINTER INFORMATION
The 9800 printer is a high end digital plotter for final archival
output, capable of producing images up to 43" x 100"
The cost is $3 per square foot. The paper is 44" wide and you will be
charged for the full width of the paper. It is to your advantage to
use the paper as efficiently as possible.
The machine that I am printing from is a closed calibration work
environment. Meaning that the scanner, monitor and printer have been
calibrated to each other. Our goal is "what you see is what you get"
There are 2 types of paper that are always available for use:
Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper (250) and Epson Premium Luster(260)
Towards the end of each semester we offer limited printing on other
paper types. The date and paper types will be announced closer to the
printing sessions.
Undergraduate students will submit print jobs to the "9800_OUTPUT"
folder on the local data drive of workstation 5 in the Advanced mac lab of Adams Hall.
Graduate students submit their work DUR-Photo-02 in Duhring Graduate Photography Lab. If you do not
have access to either of these labs please contact me.
Within this folder you will create a folder with your Last_First name.
The final image file submitted for printing must be titled in the
following format:
Last name_date_10_3-Surface(L=Luster, G=Glossy)_size(height x 44).TiFF
I am available for individual meetings during the following hours:
Graduate- Tuesday and Thursday 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in Duhing Lab
Undergraduate- Wednesday and Friday from 11:00 A.M.- 1:00 PM in Room 001,
Color Lab, Adams Hall
It is best to email me at [email protected] to let me know that
you have submitted a job and the due date for that job. The print
jobs are completed at a first come-first serve basis. I will do my
best to accommodate you but have little sympathy for those who do not
plan ahead.
