School District 145 Technology Department Copy Smart Tips and tricks of printing to the copiers This document has many tips and tricks for printing to the copy machines within School District 145. 5. Before printing, save this as a preset. Once it is a preset option for this printer, you User Access (for all Ricoh Copiers) will never need to put in this code again when you print. Your computer can save your copier code so it is not required each time you send a job. 1. In any program, start a print job by selecting File > Print ( + P) 2. Select the copy machine of your choice from your printer options list 3. Select “Job Log” from the options drop down list (between the divider lines) 6. Print your document (a document must be printed for the preset to be applied). 4. Staple 1. This feature is under the “Printer Features” menu. •For all other applications 1. Show the full printer options menu. (Select “Show Details” from the print menu if you don’t see many options.) 2. Change the “Feature Set” to “General 2” where you can set the following options •Staple •Punch (if available) •Fold (if available) 3. Select your desired staple area and print. Find and select your name from the directory listing that appears on the screen 1.This feature is under the “Printer Features” menu. 2. Change the “Feature Set” to “General 2” where you can set the following options 3. Select your desired punch option and print. 3. Change any settings you desire •Scan Settings Changes: •Color/Black & White •Original Feed Type Changes: •1 Side or 2 Side •Scan File Type Changes •PDF, JPEG, etc. Output 4. Place your document in the top feeder 5. Press the “Start” button on the copier Scan to E-Mail Release Print Jobs 1. Press the “Scanner” button. 1. Press the “Printer” button. Select “Print Jobs” Printing to Copier from Google Chrome 1. Start a print job by selecting File > Print ( 3. Find your job in the list, and select “Print” + P) 2. From Google Chrome’s print dialog box, select “Print using system dialog...” 3. This will bring up the normal printer dialog box where options can be selected to send jobs to the copy machine. •If your job is a “Locked Print” you will be asked for your copier passcode. 4.
