I heard her telling that to Barran. Digger, you can track like no one else, and Twilight you can fight”- Soren`s voice dropped off- “if that`s necessary”. Twilight swelled in anticipation. “ Don`t you see?” Soren continued. “We have the best makings here of a great chaw-the best of the best of the chaws.” (Lasky, p.145). The members of the Chaw of Chaws: ! ! SOREN: is the best of the Weather/Colliering Chaw and has the ability to carry hot ! ! coals in his beak, has superior hearing ability and is a natural born leader. ! ! EGLANTINE: is the dreamer of the group, because she was captured by the Pure ! ! Ones she is the only one who can direct the chaw to find them once again. ! ! GYLFIE: is the best of the Navigation chaw.Gylfie is a strong navigator, due to her ! ! flying ability she will direct and navigate for the chaw. ! ! DIGGER: is the best of the Tracking chaw. Due to his long legs, he is very familiar ! ! with the ground and has a lot of knowledge about geography, plants and wild life. ! ! TWILIGHT: is in the Search and Rescue chaw, which sometime requires him to ! ! fight off enemies in order to save orphaned owlets.He is the biggest and strongest owl ! ! of the chaw, and is not afraid to fight and defend his chaw in battle, for he is the ! ! warrior of the chaw. OTULISSA: is also in the Weather/ Colliering chaw with Soren, but is very smart and can sense changes in atmospheric pressure which will help the owls when the fly.
