A STEWARDSHIP MOMENT
Today we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit, the birth of the
Church and the beginning of its mission in the world. Pentecost
Sunday reminds us that our lives are filled with the Holy
Spirit and God has accomplished creative things in us through
this gift. We have been entrusted with this great gift of the
Holy Spirit. Now is a good time to ask: Are we being good
stewards of this gift? What creative things have we done to
glorify God’s accomplishments in us?

PENTECOST SUNDAY
Saint Vincent’s Corner
Today as we celebrate Pentecost the Holy Spirit wants to make us advocates of God’s presence to bring new life
to others, especially those who do not know the love of God in their lives.
Your gift in the St. Vincent de Paul collection will help families who are struggling and in need to believe
in the mystery of God’s love for them. Please continue to help us fill the food boxes, with summer
approaching and school out the demand for non-perishable food items increases significantly. Thank
you for your support! For more information about the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, please visit

Marriage - Why God's Design
The family is threatened by growing efforts on the part of some to redefine the very institution of marriage, and
society is tempted by confusing presentations of sexuality, marriage and the family . . . As you know, these realities are increasingly under attack from powerful forces which threaten to disfigure God's plan for creation and
betray the very values which have inspired and shaped all that is best in your culture."

CATHOLIC SOCIAL
TEACHING
The Easter flame opens up this day to
Pentecostal fire as we celebrate the sending of
the Spirit who makes us God’s new creation.
There is no return to business as usual, through
the action of the Holy Spirit we stand now, as
Jesus did, proclaiming in word and deed the
saving love of God and the coming of God’s
reign. Today is not the end of a season, but a
celebration of the mission for which we were
baptized. Let our alleluias continue to ring as
we continue this great mission given us by God!
Dios!
