Dear Friends of Guardian Angels Catholic School,
As Pastor of Guardian Angels Catholic Community, it is my pleasure to join with our Principal,
Mrs. Melissa Santos in welcoming you to our 15th Annual Children in Bloom Auction. We are delighted
to have you here as we come together to make a difference for the children who attend our school to
receive an excellent faith-based education which instill values and ideals grounded in the Gospel.
As one of the biggest fundraisers of the year, please realize the importance and value of your
presence and contribution to this year’s auction. The proceeds raised from tonight’s auction continue
to assist us in making a lasting impact for those who choose a Catholic quality education for their child.
I continue to be fully aware of the sacrifices many make to choose to send their child(ren) to a Catholic
School and as a community we continue to make our own sacrifices to ensure an exceptional Catholic
education.
Our theme for this school year is “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” This
Scripture verse from Hebrews reminds us the Jesus Christ is our constant. He always has been and will
always be with us. He is our rock through the ages. We have been so very blessed by those who have
given us this faith through the ages and I am very thankful to all of you as you continue to pass on your
faith to your children and family. We are also so very blessed with a dedicated administration, faculty
and staff who continually emphasize the Mission Statement of our school as they help our students
grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and their understanding of our faith. Our students
have a wonderful opportunity to excel. They give me great hope for the future of the Church and our
society.
Your presence gives witness to the fact that you share this mission with us. It takes all of us
working together to bring to fulfillment the plans God has for us. I am grateful for your generosity. I
am most appreciative of the efforts of the 2016 Auction Committee. Their dedication, commitment
and tireless efforts make it possible for us to be here tonight and enjoy such an amazing evening to
benefit our children

Dear Friends and Families of Guardian Angels Catholic School,
I am so very pleased to welcome you to our 15th Annual Children in Bloom Auction. I have been
looking forward to this evening all year long! Last year when I attended my first Auction with all of you
as Principal, I was humbled and deeply grateful for the extraordinary generosity offered by those in
attendance. The kind words, financial commitment, support of the silent auction and jubilant
participation in the live auction all touched me deeply. It is true that Guardian Angels Catholic School
is a very special place, made special by the support of our benefactors, faculty, staff, parents and
alumni.
The theme chosen for this year is “Jesus Christ - the same yesterday, today and forever.” This
profound statement reminds us of why we are in business as we seek to educate our children and form
them in the ways of Jesus Christ. We are a blue-ribbon school of excellence that prides itself on a
strong academic program, enhanced by diverse electives with a rich assortment of extra-curriculars of
an academic, physical, and fine arts nature. Foundational to all of this is our belief that faith in Jesus
Christ underlies all we do. With religion class offered every day, service opportunities available, prayer
and liturgical experiences shared, weekly Mass celebrated and sacramental formation programs for
students preparing for First Communion, First Reconciliation and Confirmation, we profess in word and
deed our theme.
I wish to express a heartfelt thank you to each of you. Your presence here today is a sign of
your commitment to your children and to the Catholic education they receive at Guardian Angels
Catholic School. I am extraordinarily grateful to our dedicated teachers and the support of our Pastor
and parishioners. Your generous participation in this exciting event helps us to provide many exciting
opportunities for our students both academically as well as socially and spiritually as we seek to grow
our children physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. As we continue to teach Christcentered values as well as encourage academic excellence and social justice in our Catholic community,
your support means everything.
I would also like to extend a warm thank you to the 2015-2016 Auction Committee for their
hard work. There are many hours of volunteer time that are expended making this event such a
success. We are so very blessed to have you sharing your time, energy and expertise with us.
Once again, thank you for your presence here today and for all you do for the children of Guardian
Angels Catholic School. Your dedication and commitment is inspirational and truly appreciated!

Auction Rules & Policies
Upon arrival, all bidders must register and obtain bidder numbers.
All items in the Silent Auction have Bid Sheets located in front of them with a catalog number and
brief description. Persons desiring to bid can do so by filling in their bid number and the amount
they wish to bid on the bid sheet.
Every effort has been made to describe the items completely and correctly. All items are sold “as
is” without warranty or representation of any kind as to the correctness of the description,
condition or quality.
All items and services are to be used within the time limits stated and are subject to the terms
and conditions stipulated by the donor(s).
All bids must have a high bidder number to be valid. All bids must be even dollar amounts and
meet the “minimum raise” as set forth on each bid sheet.
The Silent Auction will close at 7:45 pm.
All items have been donated to, and are sold by, Guardian Angels Catholic School. Auction items
are not sold by the donor(s). Purchasers should not seek refunds, exchanges or replacements
unless specifically stated in the item description.
Each successful bidder is responsible for paying the bid amount. Payment must be made prior to
picking up the item(s). Check, Cash, Visa & Master Card will be accepted. Successful bidders on
more than one item may choose to make one payment covering all items.
All items are NON TRANSFERABLE unless approved by the Donor(s).
Certificates will be issued for non-tangible items and all arrangements will be made between the
purchaser and the donor(s).
In the event of a dispute, the auction committee shall act as the final authority and shall
determine the winning bid. The decisions made by the auction committee SHALL BE FINAL.
Our Silent Auction will be held before the Live Auction. You may bid on as many of the items as
you wish, and you may bid on an item more than once. Announcements about the closing of the
tables will be made periodically.
All sales are upon the pronouncement by the auctioneer of the word “SOLD.”

STATEMENT OF CHARITABLE DONATIONS
The Internal Revenue Service has directed charitable organizations, such as Guardian
Angels Catholic School, to disclose the contributors certain approximate costs of
fundraising events, to assist taxpayers in taking Federal Income Tax deductions. Further,
the excess of the price you successfully bid for an item over its fair market value may be
deductible. Please see your personal tax advisor concerning the actual deductibility of
any portion of your contributions or purchases at the auction.
While Guardian Angels Catholic School cannot advise you as to the deductibility of
specific items, we will provide factual information to assist you in making your individual
determinations.

As parents of children attending Guardian Angels Catholic School, we are extremely grateful to our
fellow parents, school staff, church parishioners, and community businesses who continue to support
our children’s education by making this fundraiser possible.
The auction requires a great many hands in its planning and preparation and would not be possible
without our dedicated auction committee and volunteers. We would like to thank our Committee
