highly efficient extractors of 800 m3/H controlled by means of a 4-speed selector with a light signal.
The installation of a Cooker Hood can be carried out in 2 different ways :

Jean-Baptiste André Godin (1817-1888) was
a French industrialist and social utopian. The
son of an artisan, he entered an iron-works at
an early age, and at seventeen made a tour of
France as a journeyman. Returning to his home
town in 1837, he started a small factory for the
manufacture of castings for heating-stoves
with a 4,000 franc loan from his parents.
Godin quickly recognised the advantages of
cast-iron for the production of fireplaces and
stoves and the business increased rapidly and
was transferred to Guise in 1846.
In spite of fierce competition and the
unremitting copying of his products, his
business grew rapidly. The most important
reason for this was his innovation. Godin
applied for many patents for his products and
concentrated on continually improving them
both aesthetically and technically. Godin
conducted many experiments and was a very
good business manager. He was remarkably
interested in his workers and paid wages that
were relatively high for the region and he
successfully raised the living standards of his
workers by creating a utopian society not
dissimilar to Josiah Wedgwood’s Etruria near
Stoke-on-Trent in England.
This co-operative society and care of his
workers is probably the primary reason for the
unparalleled quality of Godin’s antique stoves,
fireplaces and cookers which are still
manufactured in the time honoured tradition to
this day.
