System requirement
一、inner controller installation：
• Host computer：1 vacancy PCI slot
1 usable USB connection
• HD：no less than 100M space after finished installation
• Memory：no less than 32M
• software environment：Windows95/98/NT/2000/XP。
二、outside controller installation：
• Host computer：1 usable USB connection
• HD：no less than 100M space after finished installation
• software environment：Windows95/98/NT/2000/XP。
remark：outside controller may be controlled by the DVI output

Picture introdcution：
1 、 Uses for inserting the computer PCI slot, uses in
transmitting the card fixedly; Simultaneously the main control
card disposition also loads through PCI 。
2、DVI connection ,connected the computer display card DVI
connection with the necessary DVI line ；
3 、 two RJ45 data outputs ,main controller card signals
outputs。, nearing to the USB connection is the first output.
and then the second output, connecting HUB card input port
by a standard cat5e cable .one transfer output can driver
640 lines data ,the light embedded the output port may blink

continue when it has data signal, if the yellow light
blink ,it means that FPGA work fine, green light twinkle
means that the DVI signal fine ,if yellow light twinkle green
light bright showing that the main control card work fine.
4 、 standard USB connection
,connecting computer USB
connection by necessary USB line，after connected D601green
light will be bright, it means that USB connection work
fine；
5 、＋ 5V power supply slot ,it will take power when main
controller card insert the computer .
No need connect power in addition, when main card outside.

1、50 pin needle(J8),which is the first output of scanning .
it connected by flat cable and switch board ,pay more
attention to interface definition one by one correspondence
when you connect them .marked double arrowhead is the first
stitch ,cause that the switch board power also connect by
50pin cable, pay attention to right to insert them.

3、two RJ45,one of them is used for receiving main controller
card signals. the other is used for outputting signals to
The HUB card, two RJ45 define output and input .it means that
one of port can be output ,the other can be input. and connect
the main control card by a standard cat5e cable
4、（OE）switch , presently most of scanner screen OE signal
are Ground, which may cause the first line of screen bright
continue ,if it has such phenomena you just draw switch board
to “NO”.
5、LED display testing switch, it may realize receiving card
testing function, it can test the screen without sending
card ,supports bias, level of grey, RGB and so on:
6、＋5V power supply slot definition is the same as main
controller card .meanwhile there are two weld sets, which used
for welding power lines. the function is the same as electrical

Data signal indicator light（LED1）
1、50pin cable ,which used for connect switch board with HUB
board 50pin faucet, connection definition in the appendix,
the triangle marked as the first pin port；
2、the eight 20pin port, connect LED screen data input by
flat cable ,attention that ground to ground correspondence
(we can make special connection definition according
different connection definition switch board)。

Connection introduction：
1、is standard USB interface ,connect PC’s USB by USB line；
2、is two outputs ,connect HUB scan board RJ45 by standard
cat5e cable .when it has data signal ,the light in the card
will twinkle ceaseless, the green light twinkle means that
FPGA work normally ,yellow light bright mean that DVI signal
OK .green light twinkle, but yellow light bright mean that
the main control work normally
3、is DVI connector, connect computer display card DVI by
necessary DVI line ；
4 、 power supply faucet, our outside system power
supply:110V,240V .It may not change even if export to
foreign country 。

Chapter two
hardware installation steps
1、 Turn down the Power Supply of computer and open computer
box；
2、 install DVI connection(inserting correspondence slot)and
fasten it with screws；
3、 select a vacancy PCI slot, loosen the screw and take the
baffle down , and then insert the DB2007main controller
in the PCI slot, fasten it with screw, when main controller
card insert the PC ,the +5V Power Supply jack(J102)in
the card need not connect Power Supply .
4、 connect the display card DVI and full color controller card
DVI by DVI transmission line.
5 、 connecting true color control card’s any one of data
transmission RJ45ports and HUB scan board RJ45 by a
standard cat 5e cable ,the longest network line from
control card to HUB is 170M,at the same time ,the distance
between each HUB connect with each other is 170M.
6、Connecting main control card’ USB port and PC’s USB port
by USB line. because some computers USB port have not output,
so please insert it directly in the host board output of the
computer ,moreover ,because of computer or operate
system ,you need insert USB line after finished installing
driver. please follow introduction .
7、Connecting HUB scan board data output network port (J8 the
first output port)and switch boards data input port, pay
attention to interface definition correspondence ；

data input port by Correspond flat cable .and according to
display data output port definition(may make switch board
according to different connection definition ).
9. Confirm the connection correction ,Power on .
Especially illuminate：
1、our LED controller may work fine at the condition that the
display card signal can output signal normally. the
correction of setting you can read the details about
handbook: Chapter Three.
2、We have combined USB driver ,controller card driver and play
software together .the detail information ,you can read Part
Two.

Parameter Adjustment Guide

parameters according to various type of screen.
Main Controller Card Parameter Setting
For example: a standard 1/8 scan 128*128pixel full color real
screen ：In the main control card we choose 1024*768 “model
of display”, attention your computer’s display refresh
frequency should near to the parameter , for example we choose
1024*768

“Position of capture” mean that the display position of
the picture in the computer desktop.
“Maximal size of single”the maximal size of the main card
first data output images.
“Offset of second” the image which the main control card second
data output transmits on the tabletop outputs the region to start the
location parameter
“The size of the second”the size of the second data output
image area.
“Color type”we can choose according to your screen。
“Screen rotation”the function may develop。
“Connect”system may set automatic.
Click the ‘Detect ’button to change display model ,usually
it need not be changed。
The button “delete” should be used prudently .if you have
finished setting all parameters and fixed up forever, then go
to next step ,
Click “upgrade ”it may pop “open” dialogue to upgrade
procedure.
Click “add” button
may add long-distance facility ,and
realize many computers networking control
For the set parameter we can use “import” and “export”
button to reserve and use latter。And then click “sending”

LED screen parameter setting
Please select LED screen item when you finished sending main
controller card parameters，as follows：

When the size of the screens are big, needs more HUBs and more
main control cards ,you can adjust the option “quantity”
to increase more LED screen. you can set each LED screen’s
hub quantity through setting “line” and “row”。You can
adjust the position of image on the desktop by setting
“left”and “top”
One HUB can drive 131072 pixels，the 128*128 pixel full color

screen just need one HUB。
Click the first HUB icon and drag it to the simulative frame ,
and make it activation. set both the height and width to
128.output

automatically .or you can input sequence numbers in the output
port ,junction device and index，the simulative frame will
display what you want to adjust HUB automatically.
If you set so many HUB cards, you just set one HUB card
parameter and then click “Apply in all”
The button on the left “setting ,brightness ,screen on,
screen off.” can realize to adjust single HUB control .

Receiving card parameter setting
click “sending” and then choose “setting” as
follows:(adjust the parameter about single HUB’s
control. if you want to setting all HUBs ,you can choose
the option “receiving card (entirely setting)” the way
of setting as follows:
When you go to this step ,you should look on the change of
screen ,it will hint that the relative operation steps .
We also can set the parameter about scan way ,a set of data
can take the number of lines, bright correction ,RGB model,
order of color”.
The parameter about following two lines STR clock
numbers ,on screen clock frequency and so on are
usually default ,no need revise.

correspondence position on the above picture, after click it,
there will be another light bright on the screen to direct you
to click , you can click them till all light on the screen are

bright , and then press the button “ENTER” choose “wizard

According to the color displayed on the screen ,click relevant
color cells in turn ,and then click “OK”
According to the order of bright line ,click relevant cell

“sending”.
Then back to tool folder，click ‘testing’icon

examine the position of coordinate. left click may scan or
examine grey degree. Then Exit .

Multimedia programming player
DBSTAR multimedia programs manufacture player is the LED
controller software ,which has formidable function ,easy to
operate ,.May play MS Excel document, MS Word document, the
sound document, the Flash document, the Windows media player, the
specific text, simulates the clock, the video input, the digital clock, the
picture document, the text document ,the DBSTAR software has
combined the synchronous and the asynchronous controller card ,as
well .allow kinds of display body settings. the software can adapt
module insert .you can update or add new functions according to you
requirements
Chapter one software installation
System requirement
• HD：no less than 100M spare space
• operating environment：Windows95/98/NT/2000/XP。
Installation steps
1、new a new catalogue on the computer hard disk, Such as C：
＼LED。Copy the five documents (InstMsiA.exe InstMsiW.exe
Setup.exe Setup.ini XMPlayer.exe)to the new folder“C：＼
LED”。Run or double click “Setup.exe”。

select“Everyone”or“Just me” according to your need，and

pause：pause the playing program。

Controller configure ： can set parameter in the LED
administrate V1.0.
Remote controller：may add remote facility IP address(main use
in ARM9.0)。
Asyn sending：When you select ARM9.0 special program,
the asynchronous sending may available click may sending
parameter to ARM9.0
Open screen：uses for sending parameter to open LED screen 。
Screen stillness：when player playing ,the screen stillness
may change into can option item，When click it the screen may
stillness, the same as pause function
test：click may send parameter to the screen to testing

Chapter one general description
LED display can display various characters, symbols and
graphics. Because of its simple operation and convenient
control, the system is used widely in Social various
professions.
LED control system is the Core part of the LED display,
according to the control mode of the display screen, it May
divide into the synchronous control system and the
asynchronous control system
The asynchronous control system relying on the simple
structure and the high capability/price ratio become the
favorite for the general LED screen manufacturer.
The asynchronous control system principle is that the
computer should edit the picture information, which needs to
display in advance, then put the information into the LED
display frame memory, and display page by page, circulation
reciprocation, the display monitor may work in off-line.
ARM Embedded LED control system (Embedded
Controller) is an asynchronous control system.
But it both has the asynchronous control system to be
possible working in the off-line way and high capability/price
ratio characteristic, and also has absorbed the synchronization
control system gray level control characteristic.

Hardware installation
(1)embedded controller fixed un the display container；
(2)the controller connect the screen with a networkline ,the line
manufacture and connection method for details see the appendix.
(3)the screen driver board connects to the controller output port with
40pins flat line in one by one correspondence (port definition to see
appendix)
(4)turn on the power supply ,carefully adjusts the LED controller input
voltage +5v,suggest to provide the special power source for
controller ,guarantees ,the power Votage +5v+0.2v.

After finished installation software, double click XMPLAYER ， The
software may research ARM9 automatically in the local net,auch

ARM9 program :is used for control and edit ARM9
confirm the size of screen: set the size of your screen, if
you choose joining the controller card, it may research ARM9

can choose joining the controller card,clickARM9 IP, and
then click “OK” such as the following picture:

07system testing procedure
Step 1：finish the hardware installation accord with chapter
two introduction ,the main controller card (D601) light may
bright ,it mean that USB line connect fine .
Step 2 ： power on, the LED1 (red light indicator) in the
switchboard may bright ,if not ,it indicate that the flat
cable line may not connect fine ,the LED1(green indicator) in
the HUB board may blink,LED2(red indicator) may bright, if
not ,it maybe the power connection problem .The D102(red
indicator) on the main card may bright, the green indicator
in the output port may blink, the yellow indicator may
bright ,if the yellow indicator not bright ,may check whether
the DVI line OK, and then operate accord with chapter three
display setting till the yellow indicator bright ;meanwhile
it may other possibility reasons such as :The power connect
counter, the power have not output, less than or more than 5V .
Step 3：checking the networkline manufacture, connection
whether sturdily, or length whether too long。
Step 4 ：checking the display screen is bright or not ,if not
back to step 3,and check switch board definition is matched
with the LED screen interface ,the connection is
corresponded one by one ,turn on the power and test it
again .
