Nakamichi was founded in 1948 as Nakamichi Research Corporation Ltd
in Tokyo Japan by Mr. Etsuro Nakamichi. The company initially designed
and developed portable radios, tone arms, speakers and communication
equipments. The first open-reel tape recorder was launched in 1957 along with
manufacturing magnetic heads and tape recorders. With the unique blend
of product innovations, the Nakamichi brand became popular for its audio
and video equipment. It’s long tradition and clear corporate philosophy is still
