“Over the Top”
March 12, 2016
Welcome!
It is a joy to welcome each and every one of you to our 2016 “Over the Top” Gala Dinner and
Auction. We gather this evening with a special sense of purpose and excitement. We are here
together to mark a very significant moment in the life of our parish community. Our generosity
tonight will bring to a joyful and spirited conclusion the Debt Reduction Campaign that began in
the summer of 2011. Tonight and together we are going “Over the Top”! I do not know about
you, but I am really excited to be here and be a part of this significant moment in our
community’s history.
I extend a very special welcome to those who might be here with us for the very first time. You
picked a great evening to be with us! Thank you for your support and participation this evening.
In addition to raising significant funds for our parish, I know that our sense of community will
also be strengthened as we share in the meal and festivities of the evening. I want to express my
profound gratitude to Mary Wynne and our incredibly talented and energetic auction committee,
and to each and every one of you who supported them by your generous service and donations.
We who are here tonight are the beneficiaries of so much hard work and effort, for which we are
deeply grateful.
It is always a joy to have the opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the great community of faith
that we have here at St. John the Evangelist Parish. Have a wonderful time tonight! Thank you so
much for your continued support and generosity. Get ready to go “Over the Top”!
Peace+
