HOPE IN FLINT DAY – SEPTEMBER 10
Deacons from around the Diocese of Lansing are gathering at
St. Mary’s Church in Flint for a day of hope. St. Mary’s is
located in the northeast side of Flint and there is a push being
made to reach out to the local community; to let them know
the church is present and available to serve, pray, and be
there for them. The day will consist of adoration,
reconciliation, food, games for the children, and walking the
neighborhood “two by two.”
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!
Donations of pens, pencils, crayons, markers, notebooks etc.
are needed. These will be given away as school supplies to
the children that come to St. Mary’s. St. Mary’s also has a
food pantry that serves the neighborhood. Nonperishable
food items and toiletries are needed. Look for the box at
your church that says HOPE IN FLINT. Please fill this box
with your generosity.
More importantly though, we need people to come to Flint
and pray. Please COME! Bring your youth group, your bible
study group, your prayer team, and your family. Come pray
the Rosary outside in the parking lot, or host your bible study
group in the outdoors. Come be a visible, living sign that the
Church is alive. This is HOPE. Eucharistic Adoration will
be from 10am-4pm, Bishop Boyea will celebrate Mass at
4:30pm. Everyone is welcome!
Protecting God’s Children Awareness/ Virtus Sessions

Dear Jesus, Divine Healer and Physician, we place
all those that are sick and in need of your healing in
your care. We humbly ask you to restore our loved
ones to good health, soothe their pain, and ease their
worry. We trust in you and ask for the grace to
acknowledge your will and love for us.
Father, protect those overseas in the Armed Forces and for
those that protect our freedom and safety each day. We ask
all these things in your name, Amen.
