Email submissions only to [email protected]
Include: name, address, phone number, date taken, location and short description
(include names of participants if applicable).

Only photos of Park & Recreation events or within Germantown Parks will be accepted.
ENTRY DEADLINE: FRIDAY, JANUARY 20TH
When considering an entry, please keep these photo tips in mind:
1) Group or audience photos do not capture the event well – often too much to look
at and the focal point gets lost.
2) Look for color contrasts that will do well if photo is enlarged.
3) Scenery photos do well – we would love to see amazing pictures of our parks.
4) When taking pictures of individuals try to get close if you are featuring them doing
something intricate.
We can’t wait to see your shots!

the corporate boundaries of the Village of Germantown and pays
property taxes to the Village of Germantown and the Germantown
School District.
• Refund policy for Field Trips, Craft Classes & Kids Klub: Refunds
will not be issued for these programs as the department is
responsible for full payment of enrollment totals. See page 5 for
Kids Klub policy.
SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENT
• Credits on account will automatically be refunded if not used
within 24 months.
For registration purposes, a School District Resident is anyone who
resides within and pays taxes to the Germantown School District
but does not pay Germantown Village property taxes. School
District Residents will not be assessed a non-resident surcharge
when registering for any program or league that utilizes Germantown

registers for a program or league that utilizes a village facility a
non-resident surcharge will be assessed.
NON-RESIDENT
For registration purposes, a non-resident is anyone who does not
reside within the corporate boundaries of the Village of Germantown
and does not pay property taxes to the Village of Germantown
or the Germantown School District. In the case of non-resident
participation, non-resident users contribute an additional fee or
surcharge to offset their non-tax status for programs.
FEES
It is the policy of the Germantown Park & Recreation Department
that program participants help defray the overall cost of the activity,
(i.e. equipment, facilities, staffing, etc.) through the assessment
of fees and charges. However, the department does not wish to
exclude Village of Germantown children who are unable to pay these
fees due to hardships that may occur. Parents who feel they are
unable to afford the fees for a program should contact the Park &
Recreation Director prior to registration.
FACILITY FUND FEE
Beginning in the summer 2010 the Park and Recreation Department
will begin collecting a nominal facility fee. These fees will be put
into a non-lapsing (no expiration) and non-reverting (does not go
into the general fund) “Facility Fund” dedicated to maintaining and
improving village and school district facilities used in the delivery of
recreational programs.
REFUND POLICY
Refund of fees in recreation activities shall be made under the
following conditions:
• The Park & Recreation Department cancels the program: Persons
registered for a program which is canceled by the department (i.e.
lack of enrollment) shall receive a full refund of fees or a credit
for a future program, whichever the registrant prefers.
• Participants Cancellation: Cancellations can be made up to 3
working days prior to the start of a program unless otherwise
indicated. You must call the office, email is not accepted.
Participants will receive a refund less a $5.00 service charge for
each transaction or a fee credit to a future program, whichever
the registrant prefers. If an injury occurs after the start of the
program but before it is 50% completed, a pro-rated credit will be
given upon receipt of doctor’s excuse.
• NO refunds or credits will be issued once a class has started.
• There is no pro-rating of class fees.

SAFETY ISSUES
The Germantown Park & Recreation Department is committed to
conducting programs or activities in the safest manner possible and

and parents registering their child in recreation programs must
recognize that there is an inherent risk of injury when choosing to
participate in recreational activities. The department continually
strives to reduce such risks and insists that all participants follow
safety rules and instructions. If you find a real or potential safety
hazard in one of our parks or facilities, please call (262) 250-4710.
INSURANCE COVERAGE
Please recognize that the Germantown Park & Recreation
Department does not carry medical or hospital insurance for
injuries or illness participants may sustain in programs. Prior
to registering you should review your health insurance policy for
coverage. Absence of personal health insurance coverage does not

of a participant’s medical coverage. All persons participating in
department sponsored activities must provide their own insurance
and assume risk of all injuries. The department will not be liable
for personal liabilities or accidents.
NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATION

excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be
subjected to discrimination under any program or activity, including
employment.
NO SMOKING / ALCOHOL USE POLICY
A reminder to program participants: The use of all tobacco
products or drinking of alcoholic beverages on premises owned by
the Germantown School District is prohibited by state law. Your
cooperation in upholding this law is necessary.
