Mission Statement
Our goal at Rider Now Magazine is to always deliver more than
is expected and to never intentionally break a promise to our
advertisers or reading audience. To give of ourselves for the
betterment of others and to help the less fortunate while leading
by example.

The past few months have been slammed with successful
events. The whole Rider Now Crew have been all over
the state. We have some great shots in this issue that we
know you will enjoy. Back in April I received a call from a
woman in Ocala who had heard that we help people in
need. She asked me if we could help with a Benefit Run
for her brother, Marc Benvenuto. His whole life changed
in the blink of a eye. A successful business owner whose
bike accident forced him to lose everything, including his
ability to walk. Our cover is dedicated to Marc thanks to
Dave and Tara from The Cabin Pub, Raven at Ghost Rider
Saloon and Rider Now Magazine with support from Fran
Haasch. Sunday, June 13th will be an event you do not want
to miss. The ride starts at HD Ocala and ends at Ghost Rider
Saloon. See pages 24 and 25 for more details. Ride Safe and
remember to always help others in need, it may be you
some day.
—Valerie
EDITOR REPLY:
Thank you so much, Rev .Paquette. Monk was a leader in our
field and we will miss him. We at RNM pride ourselves on being
a Family Oriented Publication.
We print no nudity or profanity and highlight the charitable
events that bikers support. We treat people like we want to be
treated and value our relationships.
And, trust me, we pray every day that we can maintain our
standards and continue to be successful. God Bless you as well
and thanks for keeping us in your Prayers.

REWARD!
We believe in the power of competition because
it makes us all better individuals, communities...
and yes, even magazines. We respect our fellow
publishers and their magazines as private
property. If you see anyone removing BOUND
STACKS or large quantities of ANY Biker
Magazine from the stands or building, please
get the individual’s name, OR TAG NUMBER,
report it to the magazine, there could me a CASH
reward for you! This is THEFT and will lead to
full prosecution by law. THEFT costs us and our
advertisers thousands, and worse, it deprives
you of FREE biker news!

Glossy Is Not The Issue...
—Valerie Smith
Glossy pages are not an “issue” for us
because the trickle down effect would
cost our advertisers considerably more
money, not to mention damage to the
environment!
Our whole goal at Rider Now Magazine is
to bring classy, cost effective print media
to our advertisers.
Our rates are low because we do not have
a big fancy office. We promote the biker
lifestyle and support biker friendly businesses. We are not greedy and we support
and respect the other media professionals
out there. We will never degrade or disrespect any other magazine. We are better
than that and we expect the same respect.
We pride ourselves on giving ad space to
benefits and charities and will never refuse
to drop our fee or provide coverage when
asked. Thank you for helping us be so successful in our first year!
PRINTED ON
100%
RECYCLABLE
PAPER!
If you are not advertising with us you are
paying way too much for what you’re getting. We’ll never break a promise or short
change you on what you expect from us!
Try us for 3 months and see what happens!

NOTE:Glossy Papers.This category includes

magazines, flyers, and catalogs. Glossy paper differ from other papers because it has a heavy
fers

clay
to remove the clay coating. Coated paper is more
co to treat and recycle, it is also water repellentcostly
so it biodegrades at an extremely low rate, sitting
for years in landfills.

Citrus County Bike Fest
Confirms H-D Of Crystal River
Can Throw A Party!
—Valerie Smith. photos by Brennen Hopping
Warren Hill and Cheryl Puterbaugh stepped up to the plate to make Citrus County Bike
Fest a huge success for Big Brothers & Big Sisters. On May 1st and 2nd the dealership on
US 19 was slammed as hundreds of motorcyclist came and went during the event. Area
businesses thrived and at 1% financing several new bikes left the store ridden by their
happy new owners! After Bike Week and $4 a can for beer it was great to be able to cool
off with a bucket of four 16 oz bottles for $10! Local Musicians, Evil Monkey & Local Traffic
opened for headliners Big Engine and Bobby Friss. Rider Now Magazine was the media
sponsor and I was honored to be the guest emcee.
The promotional crew for Leon Wilkerson, bassist for the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band, were on
hand with memoribilia and his son, Lee Wilkerson, made an appearance for a photo op.
Gene Odom, head of security and crash survivor for the band was also there for the event.
Leon Neon’s is an excellent Cajun Style Restaurant and Steak House who also sponsored
the event. The Law Firm, Lucac, Green & Magazine made a large sponsorship donation to
the charity. The Miller Coors Distributer, Best Western Motel, 96.3 The Fox Radio, Coca Cola,
Citrus County Chamber, SlicksScooterSchedule.com and many others made it a huge
success. We want to thank all the vendors, volunteers and staff who worked so hard for
such a great charity. Yes, Harley-Davidson of Crystal River knows how to throw a party and
Rider Now Magazine is proud to have been their media sponsor.

Motorcycle Exhaust Systems–
The #1 Upgrade On A Bike!
The right motorcycle exhaust systems completely changes the look and performance of your motorcycle. There are many exhaust
systems to choose from. This is the most common modification done on any motorcycle. The purpose of the exhaust system is
to convey burnt gases from the engine and out through the exhaust pipes. Exhaust systems are available in many variations and
manufactured from various different materials. The most important thing to remember when you buy a new exhaust system for
your motorcycle is that it actually fit the size and specifications mentioned by the manufacturer of the motorcycle. So please before
you buy, do your research and make sure it fits. Most cruisers are outfitted with a full motorcycle exhaust system to make sure of
optimum speed and power. Regulations have affected the factory setup and reduced the output of factory motorcycles. This is
when a slip on system can come in handy. Slip on motorcycle exhaust systems will give your bike the low end power you want & the
low end power will give your bike some extra acceleration in return. If you looking for great looks and performance gains then you
should get a performance exhaust. A motorcycle performance exhaust is tuned for a higher RPM than a car exhaust, so when you
have picked out the exhaust system for your motorcycle there are three other components that would be good to consider. First it’s
recommended that you get a fuel management system with your new exhaust system, since this will give you better airflow and fuel in the pipes. Another part that is worth
investing in is a new exhaust gasket because this will prevent your exhaust system from leaking. The last thing to consider is to get a new air cleaner because this is the key
to getting the most power out of your motorcycle. The best designed exhaust systems have nice curves and no sharp corners. This allows the exhaust to vent easier and the
engine will perform much better. See your local dealer for his expert advice for your specific needs!

Leesburg Bike Fest
& The Rats Hole Bike
Show Rocked! —Valerie Smith
Rider Now Magazine was proud to be the Media Sponsor for
The Rats Hole Bike Show during The Leesburg BikeFest. As we
entered the Bike Show area we realized that the event was
huge! There was hardly room enough to move as spectators
admired the bikes on display. A sea of people crowded the
stage front as the contestants for Miss Rat Mate took the stage.
Radical Randy did an excellent job as emcee and has for many
years. The winners for our BarWars for Charity were brought on
stage with me and proudly held up the banner which listed the
totals collect and the bars who participated. Over $17,321.00
was collected in just 7 weeks by 6 bars for 6 different charities.
Rider Now Magazine is proud of these people who gave so
much to help others and we wanted publicly to thank them on
stage at the Bike Fest!
As we strolled around the town we were amazed at how the
slow economy has not dampened the event. The beer prices
were fair and the vendors must be happy with their sales. There
was something for everyone and the general attitude among
the partying crowd was that the heat was the only downer!
The neighboring community at the city edge was in full party
mode and we were even invited into a private party at a local
home. This is a real tribute to the type of people who live, work
and party in the small scenic town. Everyone is welcomed
and your money is appreciated. What you may not be aware
of is that just about every month the town has some sort of
event. Go to their website at www.LeesburgBikeFest.com or
contact the Leesburg Partnership for a listing of future events.
It’s a beautiful scenic ride from all points and could just be the
weekend getaway you need and deserve.
