Tennis, Chess, Carom, etc. are available. 24-hours Medical facility is available. Guest house
facility to accommodate parents/Guests is also available. PICT ensures barrier free
environment for physically challenged students. Two electricity generators are provided for
uninterrupted power supply to the entire campus, round the clock. In addition, almost all
computers have online UPS support.

Academic Programs
PICT offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) & Master of Engineering (M.E.) courses in Computer
Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Information Technology,
under Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). PICT is also a SPPU recognized research centre in

Each department is having adequate number of laboratories with high-end systems and
equipments, latest software (system and application), and other facilities. Each department
has R&D Laboratory with necessary infrastructure to cater the research needs of the staff &
students. In PICT, all machines are connected to LAN and are supported by 100 Mb Internet
service (1:1).
Almost all classrooms are well furnished with ceiling mounted LCD projectors, and Internet
connectivity. In addition to a well equipped auditorium, each department has a multimedia
enabled Seminar Hall. Institute has a Computer center facility which can be accessed by the
students even beyond working hours. However, the students & staff can have 24 hour access
to all facilities, on demand. PICT digital library has very rich collection of digital contents
(journal / conference papers, video lectures, text books, and repository).

2. It is mandatory to provide E-mail address and contact numbers (like Mobile, landline, and
Fax number) of parents/guardians in the college office. Any change in the same should be
immediately communicated to the college office.
3. Students should strictly adhere to the Academic Calendar displayed by the Institute /
Department.

5. As per the University rules, minimum 75% attendance is compulsory for Theory & Practical
classes (in each head), failing to which the term will not be granted and the student will not
be allowed to appear for the university examinations.
6. While in campus, students should be in proper dress to maintain the college decorum. In
addition, specified dress code must be observed on certain occasions.
7. For improvement in the results, unit tests/tutorials are conducted which are compulsory. The
Internal assessment is based on the performance in these unit tests / tutorials.
8. Action against ragging: Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999 and prevention and
prohibition of ragging (published in AICTE approval process handbook) and their
amendments published from time to time are strictly implemented. Maharashtra Prohibition
of Ragging Act 1999 which is in effect from 15th May 1999 has the following provisions for
Action against Ragging:
a) Ragging within or outside of any educational institution is prohibited,
b) Whosoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets, or propagates ragging
within or outside any educational institution shall, on conviction, be punished with
imprisonment for a term up to 2 years and / or penalty which may extend to ten thousand
rupees.
c) Any student convicted of an offence of ragging shall be dismissed from the educational
institution and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational institution for a
period of five years from the date of order of such dismissal.
9. Anti-Ragging Committee: Institute has constituted Anti Ragging Committee. Please contact
Principal / Head of department of First Year Engineering for further information. The
complaints regarding ragging should be forwarded in writing to Principal by the student. For
any help and guidance the students are asked to contact principal / HOD/Anti-Ragging

10. Use of mobile is banned in the academic & instructional areas within the college premises.
If any student is found using mobile in the academic & instructional areas within the college
premises, the mobile will be confiscated and will be returned after one year.

Course Fee *
The Interim Fee for the Academic Year 2016-17 is Rs. 97,178/-. If the Final Fee approved
by FRA is less than the Interim Fee collected, the same shall be refunded to the students within
four weeks of receipt of the approval. In case the Final Fee is more than the Interim Fee, the
students will have to pay the difference amount within four weeks of the receipt of the
approval.
