A NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA TRADITION
For twenty-four years, Susan G. Komen Northeastern
Pennsylvania Race for the Cure® has won the region’s
heart and become the area’s largest 5K event. The Komen
Northeastern Pennsylvania Race for the Cure® is a
September tradition with women, men, children, families and
friends joining together in the fight against breast cancer.
Since our inception, more than 113,000 participants raced
or walked with us helping us to raise more than $3.3 million
for education, early detection screening and research and
treatment programs. With your help, we’ve been able to
provide much needed breast health services for medically
underserved and uninsured women and men in Northeastern
Pennsylvania since the first race began in September 1991.
Up to seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised stay in
Northeastern Pennsylvania while a minimum of twenty-five
percent funds Susan G. Komen® National Research Grant
Awards and Training Program.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
This event will occur rain or shine. We
reserve the right to cancel in extreme
circumstances. In that event, there will
be no refunds and your entry fee will
be considered a donation to the Komen
Northeastern Pennsylvania Race for
the Cure®
