Dancesport Championships
Open to the world • June 22-27, 2010
Renaissance Vinoy Resort
St. Petersburg, Florida
Dear Friends,

I’m pleased to invite you to another magical Millennium
Dancesport Championships! Last year we set the stage
ashimmer with crystal, glitter, and glamour. This year, glorious
Mother Nature reigns as we plant a beautiful garden fantasy at
the luxurious Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Spa. You won’t want
to miss this transformation of the ballroom into a mysterious
Secret Garden.

We are thrilled to announce the headliners for the 2010 Millennium
Show of Shows presented by Grand Patron, Mary Gill of Florida:
- Eugene Katsevman & Maria Manusova, Professional World Latin Finalists
- Jose DeCamps & Joanna Zacharewicz, American Rhythm Champions
- JT Thomas & Tomas Mielnicki, American Smooth Champions
- and we’re excited to have from Russia, Slavik Krykklyvyy & Anna Melnikova

We’re expecting another packed house and hotel, so book your tickets and
reservations early: full package holders have priority for both.

For those of you who have attended before, we promise the same level of care, excitement
and attention to detail that we always pour into our events. And if you have not been
before, please join us and experience for yourselves an event that is fuelled by passion and
a passion for dance.

We look forward to seeing you in June!

Rules & Regulations
Syllabus:
Material used in closed competition should be based on the current NDCA, Fred Astaire, Arthur Murray, or equivalent
American step list and the ISTD syllabus for International style. No continuity in Bronze American entries. Open divisions are
not material restricted.
EXQUISITE GOWNS
Dance Levels:
A student may enter two consecutive dance standards (Bronze and Silver, Silver and Gold, Gold and Gold Star). If you are
entered in Bronze you may dance all Bronze and Silver levels but may not enter Gold or Gold Star levels. You can only dance
Newcomer if you are attending the Millennium for the first time.
Scholarships:
For each scholarship a student enters, he/she must dance the same dances in single dance events. Scholarships and
championships are unisex and have different age categories than freestyle events. Scholarship events must have a minimum
of 3 participants in order to pay prize money.
Solos:
Solos are limited to 3 minutes. Music must be on individual CD’s. Solo judging is on impression. Students receive score
and comments.
Adjudicating:
The decision of the judges shall be final. Our judges are highly qualified and are not to be harassed or questioned about
their reasons for markings. The Chairman of Judges shall be responsible for decisions concerning ties or any problems arising
over marks. The skating system of judging shall be used.
