NIACC Livestock Judging Camp July 15 and 16, 2016 Want to learn the skills it takes to be a champion livestock evaluator? Maybe you just want to learn more about your 4-H and FFA livestock projects. Camp Instructors Swine Instructor - Michael Lackey, NSR field man. If you’re around the purebred swine industry, or show pig world, odds are you know Michael Lackey. With a great personality, fun loving attitude, and ready smile, Michael is an enthusiastic instructor. He sees a lot of good hogs throughout his travels as a field man for the NSR. He was a member of the Northeast Junior College and Colorado State Judging teams and has coached at Northwest Junior College (WY) and Angelo State University (TX). Cattle/ Reasons Instructor - Kolby Burch, Owner/Operator of Burch Livestock. Kolby’s life has revolved around the livestock judging world. From growing up as a coach’s son in Casper, Wyoming, to being a 4-H, Junior College, and Senior College National Champion, to coaching at the Junior College level, Kolby has done it all. Kolby and his wife Mickey now reside in Coon Rapids, IA where they operate Burch Livestock a highly successful club lamb operation. Sheep Instructor - Joel Morrical, Animal Science Instructor at NIACC. Joel has grown up in and around the sheep industry. A member of a very successful judging team at Iowa State University, Joel was top 10 overall more than once at national contests. Joel and his wife and family reside in Clarion, IA where they operate Morrical Show Lambs with the emphasis on producing show lambs and breeding stock. His children show competitively in the HYSLC a youth show lamb circuit and at national shows like NAILE and NWSS. Details & Registration Register Today!
