Thank you for visiting our 39th Open Studios Art Show at
Wimbledon Art Studios (WAS). It is because of you that our show
has become what it is today: a well-established event in the London art calendar.
The four-day Open Studios event is the only opportunity for the
public to visit the studios and see the work produced. It is also an
opportunity for resident artists to sell their work directly to the public, and to unveil new and experimental work. You will meet artists
whose work is generally shown in main international art fairs and
prestigious galleries, as well as the newest emerging talent from
Europe’s leading art colleges.
We invite you to wander around the studios, chat with the
artists, learn about what we do, and enjoy this event, which has
been organised with the aim of bringing art closer to you.
Your visit and your support are essential to maintain the good
health of the event, which is completely self-funded.
First opened in 1993, WAS is now a recognised creative community spanning well-established and emerging artists. Work
produced is extremely diverse and the 250-plus resident artists
include painters, sculptors, illustrators, fashion designers, photographers, film animators, screen printers, among many other
disciplines.

A fantastic opportunity to purchase a ‘small board’
The small boards sold at the marquee are unique pieces of
artwork produced by our artists with the objective of raising
funds for the show.

If you enjoy the show, please tell others! ‘Word of mouth
advertising’ is essential for us. You can also become a ‘friend of
WAS’ by volunteering just a few hours of your time.

This catalogue will help you to not only keep the
details of the artists taking part in the 38th Open
Studios Art Show for future reference, but also it will
guide you during your visit. Wimbledon Art Studios
comprises of two buildings:
THE RED STUDIOS, which is the converted warehouse located to the right of the Reception Marquee.
The studios in this building are
distributed over three floors:
GROUND FLOOR
Access from street level and from First Floor
• Studios 001 - 035
• Payment Office
• Café
FIRST FLOOR
Access via stairs from Ground and Second Floors
• Studios 101 - 145
SECOND FLOOR
Access via external and internal stairs, and lift*
• Studios 201 – 295
*If you need to use the lift in the Red Studios, please contact a member of staff.
THE BLUE STUDIOS, the purpose-built building with blue
window frames, to the left of the Reception Marquee.

SECOND FLOOR: Studios 401 - 416
THIRD FLOOR: Studios 501 - 515
FOURTH FLOOR: Studios 601 – 607

sample of their work.
FLOORPLANS
You can find floor-plans of both buildings inside
this catalogue. These floor-plans include the studio
numbers, as well as the location of entry and exit
points, stairs, toilets, the payment office and the café.
Next to the floor-plan of each floor, you will find an
alphabetical list of the artists exhibiting on that floor.
