2 l Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church
Howdy,
This week we come to the end of our novena to Our Lady of
Guadalupe, the patroness of our diocese and of our capilla.
We can be proud that we have one of the great celebrations to
our Blessed Mother here in Glendale.
We conclude our novena on Thursday evening with the rosary
at 6pm followed by a vigil Mass at 7pm in the church. Then
we all process the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe from the
church to the capilla. Our young people will present a drama
reenacting our Blessed Mother’s appearance. Prayers will
continue throughout the night.
At 5am on Friday, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we
will sing “mañanitas” to our Blessed Mother. Of course, we
will have our regular morning Masses and conclude with
Mass at the capilla at 6pm.
I hope that many of you, whether English speaking or Spanish
speaking, will be able to celebrate with us as we honor our
Blessed Mother as Our Lady of Guadalupe.

OLPH SCHOOL NEWS
Student Council is sponsoring Bottles for Bethlehem
which is a program where our students will bring in change
(coins) and fill up baby bottle banks. All proceeds will go
toward supporting prenatal care for those who live in
Bethlehem. (Close to where Jesus was born)
Many of our students from various grades will represent
Our Lady of Perpetual Help in the Glendale Christmas
Parade on December 13th. Thank you for supporting
OLPH!
Mark your calendars for the OLPH Annual Christmas
Program on Monday, December 15th at 6:00pm in the
church. All are welcome to join us, you will experience the
true meaning of Christmas.
The school office will be closed from December 22nd
through January 5th.

On behalf of my wife Teresa, myself and our family, I
want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for
all of your prayers during my formation, prayers for
getting me assigned to OLPH, and the many gifts and
cards that shared so much love with us for my ordination to the permanent diaconate. Your support and
affirmation of my call was profound and real. With the
help of God’s grace, I intend to serve our parish to the
best of my abilities and gifts. With joy and hope, may
we together, go and announce the Good News to the
world. May God bless our parish.

Rosary for the Novena of Our Lady of
Guadalupe at 7:00 pm. We will then go to the
Notre Dame Center for a short meeting. Please bring
food for the family we have adopted.
St. Vincent de Paul thanks you for your generosity! We collected 136 turkeys and almost $500.00!
We gave turkeys and gift cards to 75 families and
our freezers are full for Christmas! St. Vincent de
Paul would also like to thank the students at
OLPH; they had a food drive and collected over
800 cans of food for our pantry.

Que tal,
Esta semana llegamos al final de nuestra novena
a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, patrona de nuestro diócesis y de la capilla. Podemos estar orgullosos de que tenemos una de las mas grandes
celebraciones a nuestra Madre Santísima aquí en
Glendale.
Concluimos nuestra novena el jueves por la tarde
con el rosario a las 6:00pm y enseguida una Misa
de vigilia a las 7pm en la parroquia. Entonces
tendremos una procesión con la Imagen de
Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe desde la parroquia
a la capilla.. Nuestros jóvenes presentarán un
drama recreando la aparición de nuestra Madre
Santísima. Oraciones continuarán durante toda
la noche.
El viernes, el día de la fiesta de Nuestra Señora
de Guadalupe, vamos a cantar las mañanitas” a
nuestra Madre Santísima a las 5:00am. Por
supuesto, tendremos nuestra misas regulares en
la mañana y concluiremos con una misa en la
capilla a las 6:00pm.
Espero que muchos de ustedes, ya sea que hablen
ingles o español, podrán celebrar con nosotros
para honrar a nuestra Madre Santísima como
Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.
