Remove the lid and reposition the X-lock to fit inside the grooves of the mixer. Consistency of slurpee is very liquidy. • Make sure that the proper amounts of salt and ice have been used. Note: Small pieces of crushed ice work best to completely fill the cooling canister or add more salt to the cooling canister. • Make sure to use a cold drink from the refrigerator for best results. • Diet drinks or drinks with a low sugar content will not freeze to a satisfactory consistency. Use regular soda or a non-diet fruit drink. • Make sure to turn the handle for 5 minutes before trying to dispense. Metal canister and mixer freeze together. Have a parent remove the cooling canister and mixer by holding the unit with a towel. Hold under warm water until the ice crystals disappear. Repeat slurpee making process using a drink with a higher sugar content or reduce the amount of salt. Difficulty turning the crank. Try rotating the crank from a clockwise to a counterclockwise direction and then back to a clockwise direction. This will reduce any blockage that may occur. Once the liquid becomes frozen, the friction will automatically increase. WASHING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS It is very important to wash your Slurpee® Drink Maker after every use.
