The Maintenance Engineers of the Aviation Industry are one of the
most elite groups of individuals who not only draw a very fat salary
package but they are also respected for their professionalism,
dedication & hard work throughout the world. Not only do they get
respect in India but also they are at very high demand globally.
This branch of Engineering falls among a very few privileged groups
where people after gathering sufficient amount of experience can
decide as to how much they should be paid. With the changing trends

of time and growing importance of aviation industry, it has become a
very lucrative & challenging profession for young, bright talents who
are willing to work hard to make it big.
This is only the Engineering Industry where wide scope to acquire
intra-branch knowledge is available.
Infrastructure:
No efforts have been spared to lay the infrastructure for this
prestigious course on a second base. Apart from the lecture halls for
theory classes, spacious workshops exist which house the various
laboratories provided with appropriate assemblies and components,
spares and test equipment’s, working models and demonstration
items, charts and diagrams, together with Audio Visual aids offering
latest documentation along with computer knowledge and skills.
Actual flying exposure is given to students for better understanding
of systems.
A team of qualified and experienced teaching staff headed by Chief
Instructor will impart the training.
Academy Exam:
At the end of each semester, examination will be conducted by the
College. On completion of five semesters the student shall undergo the
mandatory six month On Job Training at the AME institute. Course
completion certificate is issued upon completion of three years AME

Aeronautical Engineering
Eligibility:
10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry (Min. 50% in each subject) from recognized
board or University.
Aeronautical Engineering
Four Years Degree Course A.M.Ae.S.I at par with B.E/B. Tech.
Ever since planes started flying in the skies, aviation has been a glamorous vocation sought
after by many, but achieved by only a few selected persons. Aeronautical engineering is a
branch of engineering which deals with the design and development of vehicles in the air
such as aircraft, helicopters, rockets, missiles etc and operations of those vehicles. In addition
to air vehicles, Aeronautical engineering makes valuable contributions into the other
industrial fields in the form of research, development and design of ground vehicles. Thus,
aeronautical engineers have various opportunities to find a job in Defense, aircraft industries
and automotive industry.
Graduates of aeronautical engineering work in all areas of the aircraft and airline industries.
They also work in other exciting areas such as motor vehicle production and energy industry.
In India, large transport and aviation companies employ aeronautical engineers, as do the
smaller companies who produce components and services. Air Forces across the globe also
employ aeronautical engineers.
Job Prospects and career options:
An Aeronautical Engineer can find employment in various Airlines in India and Abroad. Jobs
are available with the national, international public and private airline services as well as
aircraft manufacturing units. They can also join the Defense Services, Airport Authority of
India, Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Indian Space Research Organization
(ISRO), Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Defense Research and Development
Organization (DRDO), National Aeronautical Laboratory (NAL), Hindustan Aeronautics
Limited (HAL), Civil Aviation Department (CAD) and also private Aviation Industries etc.,
as research Engineers / Maintenance Engineers.
About the course
The Government of India recognizes a pass in the AMAeSI examination in the Section A and
B levels for the purpose of recruitment to executive posts and commissioned ranks in the
services in the appropriate field under the Central Government. AMAeSI is recognized by the
Govt. of India as equivalent to BE degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Candidates with
AMAeSI qualification are eligible to apply for any job in Aeronautics where BE is prescribed
as the minimum eligibility qualification for the post. They are also eligible to pursue Post
Graduate Courses.
As there is great dearth of qualified aircraft engineers in India as well as abroad, candidates
who successfully complete this course will be able to obtain lucrative jobs in aviation firms.
8|P age
The examination for AMAeSI is conducted by the Aeronautical Society of India, New Delhi
at various centers in India and Hyderabad is one of them.
Students of AE course can also appear and qualify as AMAeSI (Associate Membership of
Aeronautical Society of India) which is fully recognised by Government of India / State
Government / Union Public Service Commission
(U.P.S.C.) / G.A.T.E. for M. Tech admission / Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., (H.A.L.) / Indian
Airlines / Air India / B.H.E.L. / D.R.D.O. / N.A.L. / I.A.F. / Coast Guard / Airline Industries
etc. / Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi / Madras Institute of Technology and many other
Government, Public and Private sector as equivalent to B.E / B. Tech (Aeronautical
Engineering).
Course Structure:
The Aviation Academy is the only Institute in India, which imparts practical training on live
aircrafts and exposure to the flying to its Aeronautical Engineering students.

Eligibility: 10+2
Age: 18 years
2 years in India Campus - India for Higher National Diploma
(HND) in Aeronautical Engineering
Approved by EDEXECEL UK.
3rd and final year students can study in Foreign Universities abroad.
EDEXCEL: Edexcel is the largest awarding body in the UK for academic qualifications. It
works closely with schools, colleges, universities. More than 200 universities World Wide
recognize today the Edexcel BTEC Programs.
Career prospects:
Aerospace Engineer work in one of the most technologically advanced branches of engineering.
They design, construct and test aircraft, missiles, satellites, rockets, spacecrafts and anything that
flies. Besides this, they are also involved in researching new materials, engines, body shapes and
structures. This job is not just about science, it is also about creativity. You will not only give
wings to your imagination but also make it fly.
Job Opportunities:
Due to Indian Defense Offset Policy and FDI in Civil Aviation Sector in India , plenty of job
opportunities with Aerospace Companies , MRO Companies , Defense Manufacturing sector ,
Government Companies and Software Companies in India such as Tata Aerospace, Tata
Advanced Systems , Honeywell India , L&T , Quest, Mahindra Satyam, Mahindra Aerospace, ,
GMR-MAS , Air works, InfoTech, Cap Gemini, HAL, DRDO , ISRO DRDL, DMRL , RCI. Also
there are lot of opportunities with all other major airlines, and MRO companies in India.
As the B.Sc (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering is valid globally , the new area of opportunities are
emerging worldwide as there is a huge demand for qualified professional with companies likes ,
Boeing, EADS, Raytheon , Lockheed Martin, Textron International , Bombardier , Snecma ,
CFM International , GE Aviation , CAE International , Soisa, Zodiac Aerospace , United

B. Sc Aviation by OSMANIA UNIVERSITY
Eligibility:
10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry from recognized board or University.
Approved By OSMANIA UNIVERSITY
The Indian aviation industry today is gradually undergoing changes- It is not just about core
maintenance activity or flying operations but, a host of other allied services. Renowned aviation
companies from overseas are seeking India as a joint venture destination to set up their allied
business operations.
In this direction, the skills of an AME are being fast recognized as being just right to meet the
service requirements here in allied fields like manufacturing, assembly, technical publications etc.
Similarly, a CPL holder, along with his flying skills, can utilize the degree qualification in allied
aviation activities, if he so desires at some point of time in his career.
It is therefore desirable that a student who pursues AME/CPL should also equip himself with
parallel relevant qualification that can give his career a wider scope in the industry. Flytech is
now offering a 3yr Bachelor degree program in B.Sc Aviation, in association with Osmania
University.
Qualification Gained:
The course is imparted at Flytech campus, while examinations for the degree program shall be
conducted by Osmania University. A student who successfully passes all three years of the course
shall be awarded Bachelors degree in B.Sc Aviation by Osmania University.
