Aviation Maintenance Technology
A career in aviation maintenance offers an
exciting and rewarding career with high income potential. Every aircraft used for hire
must undergo thorough inspections, maintenance and repairs on a regular basis by
certified technicians. Complete a diploma
program in as little as 18 months or an associate degree in 23 months prepared to get
your A&P certification from the FAA.

These programs are designed to teach students the technical skills required to become entry-level airframe and power-plant technicians or obtain employment in related professions. Successful completion
qualifies the graduates to take the written, oral and practical tests with the Federal Aviation Administration for the Mechanic’s Certificate with both Airframe and Power-plant Ratings. The skills and knowledge
gained from the diploma program are applicable to other maintenance industries and professions as well
as aviation. The additional general education courses in the associate degree program enhance the students’ background and intellectual proficiency so they are more competitive in their chosen professions.
