Confirmation 2016-2017 begins in August!
Dear Trinity Family, Rising 6th Graders and Parents...
We want YOU to be a part of this coming year’s Confirmation class.
SUNDAY, JUNE 26, 2016
What is Confirmation?
It is a time of faith exploration where 6th grade students experience
prayers and the presence of God in new and fresh ways, study scripture, serve others who are in need, and share gifts and talents while
in fellowship with middle school brothers and sisters in Christ. We
give thanks for parents who have raised their youth in the life of
the church. Now, after walking the walk during the Confirmation
journey, there will be a time for each youth to decide for themselves
if they are ready to claim the name Christian.

Summer Sunday Morning Fun!
We’re celebrating summer by mixing it up for our
elementary kids…Olympic style!
Each Sunday we’ll explore a new Bible story that
has something to do with an Olympic event.
Then we’ll have some fun with our own
Olympic games in the gym!
Oxmoor Campus:
Drop off and pick up for K-5 will take place in
their summer Sunday School rooms:
Kindergarten in Ark 110, 1st G in 107,
2nd G in 110, 3rd G in 124,
and 4th & 5th G in 123.
We’ll post signs as reminders just in case you
forget. From their Sunday School rooms they will
process down the hall to the Gym for our Olympic fun (just in case you miss your class in their
classroom) and then head back to their Sunday
School class to be reunited with parents at the end
of the Discipleship hour. We’ll be active, so if you
are looking for an excuse to make Sundays more
casual, feel free to send your kiddos in their play
clothes and tennis shoes!
Oakmont Campus:
Our elementary kids and youth will follow
Mrs. Mia from worship down to the gym to create
Olympic size fun together. Parents, elementary
kids will be picked up in the Grove and youth
will conclude in the youth space downstairs
under the Sanctuary.
Reminder for both campuses!!!
We’d still like you to sign in your child using the
Check-In system EVERY Sunday…
even on these relaxed summer days.
We will be asking for parent tags to help reunite
children at the end of the hour.
We can’t wait to go for the gold
with your kids this summer!

I am so thrilled to have been recently named the
Director of Senior Adult Ministries at Trinity!
What a joy this is going to be for me to get to know
each of you in a more personal way as we jump
into a new era of this ministry! Yet, I feel that we
are not SENIOR adults, but SEASONED adults.
We have been seasoned by experiences, relationships and the knowledge we have gathered during
our lifetimes. That being said, I look forward to
worshipping, fellowshipping, and ministering with you during the coming
weeks, months and years.
See details in this issue of Tidings about a Lunch Bunch trip on July 7 and
a Trinity Traveler day trip on July 28. I am also working on a fall overnight
trip in October and a Christmas trip in late November or early December.
Also, if you are of the Baby Boomer age group, I want to reach out to you,
as well. Technically, this means if you were born between 1946 and 1964,
but birth certificates are never a requirement at our events!!! Everyone is always welcomed to attend. Please watch for an upcoming event specifically
designed for you, set for July 14, 6:30-9:00 PM in Fellowship Hall.
My door is always open to you. Come by and see me or call me! Let’s work
together to make our new SENIOR/ SEASONED ADULT ministry fun and
exciting for all of us as we study, worship, fellowship and serve together.
Blessings,
Donna
