Welcome to the 19th Annual North American Nationals
I’d like to take the chance to welcome each of you to beautiful Lexington, Kentucky! For these three
days in July some of the most amazing horses in the nation have come to compete for the title of
National Champion. This show has been the results of months of hard work. Every volunteer is integral to the success of
NAN, and for that we express our deepest gratitude. Many of these individuals have sacrificed showing
in favorite divisions or showing altogether in order to make this an incredible show. If you have the
opportunity to thank them, please do so. Without them, there would be no show.
Our judges also deserve a hearty thank you here. Judges are the backbone of this show. We have an
incredible group this year who are going to work very hard over the next three days. We are truly lucky
that they are willing to share their knowledge with all of us, and we appreciate their many years of
experience. I was very fortunate to have such a wonderful judging pool to draw from.
Most all of you have had some interaction with Jim West as well, and there is no denying that he is one
of the most important cogs in the NAN machine. I am extremely grateful that he agreed to take the
position of Registrar again this year. With his unending devotion and eye for detail, we couldn’t have
been in better hands. His firm and experienced hand has been greatly appreciated by all.
This show would also not be possible if not for the shows that take place all over North America. The
show holders, local judges, and supporters all are integral to the success of North American Nationals.
Thanks are also due to you, the shower, for supporting your local shows and then bringing your horses
from near and far to Kentucky.
We hope that your time at North American Nationals proves to be a
wonderful experience all around. Placings, ribbons and cookies aside,
we’re all here because we share a love for the horse and the amazing
art that the model horse hobby encompasses.

• Model is correctly and safely executing a maneuver that is
appropriate for the class (Incl. proper anatomy,
biomechanics and suitability of model for event).
• Tack fit and suitability/correctness for event.

About the Auction &
How to Bid:
The NAN Auction will be run on a
different format than it has in previous
years. Auctions will be online at My
Auction Barn and will start shortly
before NAN. They will run until
Thursday, July 10th between 6:00 and
8:30pm.
Auction lots will be updated on the
NAMHSA website as information and
photos come in from on donors. When
the auctions go live, links will also be
provided to each lot. Announcements
will also be sent via all official
communications channels when the
auctions are ready for bidding.
The auctions will end in 10 minute
intervals to allow bidders to concentrate
on one auction at a time.
Auction lots will be available for
viewing during all three days of NAN
in the NAN show hall. They will also
be available for viewing in the Artist’s
Gallery on Thursday evening from
5:00pm to 11:00pm.
Winning bidders who are in Kentucky
must pay for and pick their items up in
person at the Artist’s Gallery. Bidders
who are not present will be invoiced
for their final bid and shipping charges
after the auction. Bidders who will not
be in Kentucky must pay via PaypPal.
Those picking up in person may pay by
cash or PayPal.
