Tough on the outside, warm on the inside
The comfort zone. The clean, crisp sightlines of
VELFAC windows are aesthetic and efficient
because the slimline frames are designed to enable
significantly more natural daylight than other brands of
double-glazed windows, giving your home a feeling of
space and serenity. This feel-good factor is enhanced
through the clever use of high-performance glazing
contained in a frame of warm wood on the inside
and tough, powder-coated aluminium on the outside,
providing a secure environment for you to enjoy.

Standing the test of time. The first VELFAC window
was manufactured in 1952. Since then, VELFAC has
pioneered and delivered a continuous programme of
development and improvement resulting in glazing
systems designed to last a minimum of 40 years.
All windows are comprehensively guaranteed for
12 years.
Low maintenance. All VELFAC windows are virtually
maintenance-free, only requiring regular cleaning and
oiling of the hinges and handles once a year. And the
beauty is, once your windows are installed, you will
not have to paint them during their long lifetime.
Personal protection. We understand that security is
one of the main criteria when choosing windows, so
VELFAC windows are internally glazed, which means
the glass cannot be removed from the outside, whilst
the aluminium sash is designed to withstand even the
most determined criminal. A choice of handles and
locks can further reinforce security.

In essence, we can tailor the windows to suit the architecture
of your house - whether they are with or without glazing
bars, large or small, sidehung or tophung, and in the size and
configuration you require - whatever you choose, your living
space will be well ventilated and filled with optimum natural

The VELFAC 200 window is a sleek, elegant design with clean sightlines that is
particularly suited to contemporary style houses. Included in the range are fixed
windows, windows with opening lights and patio or sliding window doors, enabling
you to create a cohesive and harmonious look to your home. Examples from the

Opening functions. There is a varied program of opening
functions for both VELFAC 200 and VELFAC 400: Sidehung
opening lights, sidehung projecting lights, fixed lights,
tophung projecting lights, reversable lights and patio door.

To complement our windows, VELFAC make patio
and sliding window doors that are also designed to
capture more natural daylight than other traditionalstyle brands. The slimline sashes and wider glass
panes provide a bigger vista, bringing you closer to
your garden and to nature.
VELFAC patio doors are available in both the
VELFAC 200 contemporary-style and the
VELFAC 400 classic-style ranges.
VELFAC sliding window doors. The VELFAC sliding
window door is identical to the style of VELFAC 200
windows. Its gliding open-and-shut mechanism makes
this door extremely user-friendly and the slim panes
and large glass field gives you maximum outlook.

Finishing touches
The VELFAC philosophy has always been to provide our customers with maximum freedom of choice - right down to the finest
detail - and we make no exception to this rule when it comes to choosing colours. We offer an extensive range of colours, both
for the interior and exterior window frames, so you can select whatever combination you want.
On the outside. We use a hard-wearing, polyester-powder coat that comes in the full range of RAL colours in a standard
gloss level of 77%. What makes this paint so outstanding is that its durability makes it virtually maintenance-free, which means
you will not need to paint your windows during their working lifetime.
Metallic finishes. If you want to create a truly stylish finish to your exterior window sashes, you may want to consider having
them anodised in one of the silver or bronze colours from the VELFAC metallic range.
On the inside. Complement your interior colour scheme by choosing the appropriate shade from our extensive RAL colour
range. Or if you prefer the look of natural wood, we can coat the inside frames with a clear lacquer to protect and highlight the
grain, creating a warm, elegant feel to your home.

Optimum glazing
efficiency
In order to make your home more energy efficient, VELFAC windows come
fitted with low-energy glazing as standard. But you may want to consider our
range of additional options to maximise your windows’ performance.
Solar protection. VELFAC SUN is glass designed to reduce solar gain and
glare in your home and is particularly effective if used in south- or westfacing windows. Two VELFAC SUN options are available in different tints
and levels of solar and heat protection.
Noise reduction. Effective glazing is a necessity if you want to reduce
invasive noise levels from the outside world. For instance, if you live near a
busy road, railway line or airport, or if you just want to cut out noise filtering
in from a bustling street, VELFAC can offer a number of different solutions.
VELFAC 200 SOUND achieves an Rw41 noise-reduction rating, compared
to the Rw32 rating of a standard VELFAC 200 double-glazed unit.
VELFAC 400 SOUND achieves an Rw37 noise-reduction rating, compared
to the Rw31 rating of a standard VELFAC 400 double-glazed unit. And for
those who live in an extreme environment we recommend our VELFAC 200
2+1 window, which offers a huge Rw48 rating.
Personal safety. VELFAC SAFETY glass can be supplied as laminated or
toughened, both types offering significant safety benefits. We recommend
VELFAC SAFETY glass be used in areas at risk from human collision
because the glass is designed to break safely on impact.
Privacy and security. VELFAC DÉCOR is our range of opaque glass,
ideal for areas where privacy or security is desired. It comprises five
different designs: Satin, Pacific, Cotswold, Carré, and Matt Laminated.
Matt Laminated glass is laminated with a matt interlayer to give a milky
appearance and it also has safety benefits should the glass break.

How to order VELFAC windows and doors
Demonstration & advice
Quotation
Simply post or e-mail your drawings or schedule/specification for each window to us, and we will issue you with a
comprehensive quotation for VELFAC windows. Throughout this process we will always be available to discuss any aspect of
your requirements. Our postal and email addresses are on the back cover of this brochure.
Survey & ordering
Should you wish to proceed with the order, we will require your written confirmation along with a deposit of 10%. On receiving
this confirmation and payment we will book production capacity and secure a date for your delivery. We will then contact you
to arrange for a site survey of your windows and doors. The purpose of this being to ensure that dimensions are correct and
that there is full clarity on both sides as to the scope of the project. It is important to point out that following receipt of deposit,
any part of an order can be changed as we allow a period of time for checking all details prior to windows being placed into
production.
Order clarification
Following the site survey and discussions with you, we will raise an order confirmation which will specify the dimensions,
external finishes, glass types, opening functions etc. for each window/door type. If you are happy to proceed, we simply require
you to sign the order confirmation and return it to us at which point we can commence the manufacturing process.

You can discuss your requirements with one of our consultants.
Once we have received you signed final confirmation of order the manufacturing process will take 7-8 weeks. Our installation
team will then arrive with your windows and doors for fitting as per the pre-arranged delivery date.
10% on accepting quote and booking capacity.
30% on signing the order confirmation.
30% to be paid the week before windows are to be delivered to your site.
30% on completion of installation.
