MIPJUNIOR WORLD PREMIERE TV SCREENING
“Thunderbirds Are Go!” by ITV STUDIOS
“Thunderbirds Are Go!” is produced by ITV Studios
and New Zealand-based Pukeko Pictures, in
collaboration with world-famous Weta Workshop
(“Avatar,” “The Lord of the Rings”).
ITV Studios is relaunching the iconic children’s show,
50 years after it first debuted on British screens. The
new 26 x 30’ series will bow on ITV and CITV Channel
in the UK in spring 2015. ITV Studios Global
Entertainment distributes it internationally.
The new incarnation of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s
much-loved series will be produced using an
innovative mix of CGI animation and live-action
miniature sets. The original series was shot using socalled “Supermarionation,” a combination of puppets, scale models and special effects.
The “Thunderbirds Are Go!” voice cast is led by Rosamund Pike (“The World’s End”) who plays the
unflappable aristocrat Lady Penelope, while original “Thunderbirds” veteran David Graham is reprising
his role as her chauffeur, Parker. Inventor Brains will be voiced by Kayvan Novak (“Fonejacker”), and
John Tracy will be played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster (“Game of Thrones”). The voice cast also
includes Rasmus Hardiker, David Menkin, Sandra Dickinson, Adjoa Andoh and Andres Williams.
The show is based around International Rescue, a high-tech global rescue service run by the Tracy
family, which each week comes to the aid of those in peril or threatened by the forces of evil.

Discover the 2014 project selection: Emmy
Emmy by LeftPocket animation Studio, China
Emmy is a brave, imaginative girl who lives in an enchanted forest with her best friend Gru. Many
other fascinating characters also live there. Emmy is very enthusiastic about life, and she enjoys lots of
happy times with her friends.
Isi by Edebe Audiovisual Licensing, Spain
Isi (short for ‘Isadora’) is a very curious 8-years old girl who lives with her rock-and-roll Dad, her
stressed-out Mom, a brother who thinks he's a superhero, an eccentric grandfather inventor and a
robot. All in all, they add up to an unusual, to say the least, urban working-class family – the Somi’s –
living in a neighbourhood on the outskirts of a city that could be anywhere in the world. It’s a family
that breaks stereotypes, with offbeat characters and personal hobbies that generate all sorts of
conflicts and unexpected situations to which young viewers can easily relate. They Somis are
confronted with personal conflicts, economic crises and social conventions and, in their own
outlandish way, they solve problems successfully... or almost. The series aims to address relevant
issues in today's society from a comical, entertaining and slightly irreverent perspective. Between
laughs and absurdity, but with an underlying sensitivity, Isi and her family face issues such as disability,
old age, family relationships, poverty, solidarity, tolerance and environmental good practices. And
along the way, they can't help but learn some valuable life lessons.

Larva by Tuba n Co, South Korea
Larva is a short format of 3D CGI animation and slapstick comedy. The background of the story is New
York City. In its episodes that each are only two minutes long, two worms simply called Red and
Yellow, engage in a series of comedic fights, with other creatures such as flies, mosquitoes, dung
beetles and snails making cameo appearances. Much of the stories revolve around anything that is
thrown from the human world into the storm drain(Season 1), Human's house(Season 2),
Street(Season3) with the worms and bugs are competing over all sorts of things for human, for
example, ice cream, wig, slippers and perfume, etc. Like the earlier versions of Tom and Jerry, there is
no dialogue between the cunning Red and the big and clumsy Yellow.

The dream reveals the special day of a man or a woman struggling in his/her job. This
professional is dealing with some serious adventure showing us how cool his/her job is. This
professional almost look like a Superhero ! We always find out that this hero looks like…the
dad or the mum of our main character! What’s fresh about it ? >The lay out. It is made of
fabulous tailor made paper toys using real human pictures. >The Animation: The Stop motion
enables to split the situation into very understandable scenes, which is crucial for our
audience. The use of FX and some textured CGI enables to create “wouaw effects”. >The
Customization. The audience can in 1 click put their face in every episode. Dad becoming the
real DAD, MUM the MUM…and the main Character well ME ! (I mean the viewer :)
OONGU LOONGU: Animal Palace by OOMPH! Animation, South Africa
OONGU LOONGU, is a magical animal sanctuary situated on a Game Reserve acting as a rehabilitation
centre for rescued, endangered and injured animals, with the goal of reintroducing them back into the
wild, owned and run in similar fashion to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory by the eccentric childlike
veterinarian, Papa Joe. Each episode revolves around the animal and environmental cases undertaken
by Zak, a gifted 10- year-old orphan assisted his 2 best friends Boomba, a delusional Hollywood pygmy
bear, and Poley, a puberty stricken humanoid Lion, with an array of antagonists challenging their
objectives, most notably, Pape Joe’s granddaughter, Shirlee, an ingenious 6 year old socialite aided by
her genetically enhanced pet Pekingese dog, Tysin. While the nature and tone of the show is
lighthearted, silly and ridiculous at times, there remains a strong educational aspect with actual
animal facts and environmental issues incorporated into the storylines.
