taken to Roofsit Headquarters and counted.
Some of the best validation comes through
seeing how your contribution directly helps
children in your community.
Tips for Kids is a part of Roofsit, where
volunteer groups or business teams pump
gas, wash windows and ask for tips at
7 area Shell stations. All proceeds go to
the Community Healing Centers to treat
and prevent child abuse and neglect in the
greater Kalamazoo area.
IT’S FUN
IT’S easy
Each volunteer group is scheduled for a
2 to 3 hour shift and if there is a larger
group, additional shifts may be added. With
a smile and a commitment to help kids,
tips are collected in exchange for pumping
gas. Tips for Kids gives you the chance
to show support for your community and
realize that you can make a difference.
Being a Tips for Kids volunteer is fast,
easy and rewarding. Your volunteer
group gets the credit, the kudos and
the satisfaction that in just 2 or more
hours you made a tremendous difference
in a child’s life. 103.3 KFR will promote
your volunteer group, showing that as a
community, we can help children who have
been abused & neglected. We can use
these tips to change a life.

Making a difference in the community
REGISTRATION FORM
As a volunteer, your group may sign up for one or more shifts. Please plan on arriving at the assigned
gas station 15 minutes before your assigned shift. Your shift coordinator will go
over the process of pumping gas, how to collect and recognize donations, as well as answer
any questions you may have. A supervisor will be on site to assist you.

Tips for Kids is such a simple concept - The
Roof Sit team wants you to concentrate on “the
tips.” We provide you with all the necessary
supplies, so, it’s almost as easy as just showing
up. Let’s be honest, teams have improved their
group spirit by creating posters and using social
media to invite their friends to stop by during
their shift to donate money. To make it “oh so
simple” to participate, here’s what we provide:
