At Fugro Engineering Services Limited we have a wide range of drilling rigs and continually strive to provide
the most appropriate drilling technique to suit the geological conditions and objectives of a particular project.
Description
The Hagglund all terrain vehicles are used for a variety of
purposes on remote sites or in difficult access locations.
The cab is equipped to provide welfare facilities for field
crews including hot and cold water, food heating and
refrigeration facilities, First Aid and fire extinguishers.
The rear section which has powered traction can be fitted with
a drilling rig, portable WC or used to carry up to 2,500kg of
equipment over rough terrain.
The Hagglund BV 206 has a unique articulated hydraulic steering
system and both front unit and rear unit are driven tracks. This
together with a weight displacement similar to that of a person's
footprint allows these vehicles to traffic terrain without causing
damage that may result from using wheeled vehicles and towed
trailers.
The unit is powered by a turbo charged diesel engine with
automatic transmission ensuring smooth gear changes.
