programme aimed to help increase your activity levels
and therefore improve your health.

Low Intensity Classes
Pilates
Pilates is designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to
balance and, as a result, you’ll achieve a strong core, develop longer,
leaner muscles and improve your overall sense of well-being.
Easy Circuits
Circuit training is an excellent way to improve mobility, strength and
stamina. The circuit training comprises of 6 to 10 strength exercises
that are completed one exercise after another. Each exercise is
performed for a specified number of repetitions or for a set time
before moving on to the next exercise. This class is an excellent way
to increase you fitness levels without the tedious routine.
GPR Easy Circuits
Achieve the full body workout, a low intensity and low impact class
involving cardio and resistance exercises.
GPR Aquacise
A fun and invigorating water aerobic workout designed to burn
calories with low impact on the body. It’s a cool and fun way to stay
in shape. Enjoy refreshing workouts led by enthusiastic instructors to
upbeat music.
GPR Nordic Walking
Nordic Walking uses specially designed poles to enhance the
walking experience. With a technique that is similar to the upper
body action of cross country skiing, it is a whole body exercise that
can be enjoyed at many levels. Nordic Walking burns 46% more
calories than walking, reduces pressure on knees and joints and is
great for the heart and lungs.

Try out the gym with fully qualified Exercise Referral Instructors on
hand to give you advice to meet your specific needs
GPR Zumba
A ‘feel-happy’ workout that is great for both the body and mind.
Dance your way to fitness, have fun, make friends – this low to
moderate intensity Zumba class is just as much fun, but not as fast

GPR Pulmonary Rehabilitation
A low intensity exercise class designed to help people with respiratory
conditions build their fitness and manage their breathlessness. The
aim of this class is to help improve fitness for everyday functional
activities and quality of life.
Tai Chi
A low impact, slow motion exercise class. Helps to reduce stress,
improve balance and mobility, and increase muscle strength in the
legs.
GPR Swim
An opportunity for Exercise Referral Clients to swim at a leisurely
pace during their 16 week programme. When available, advice on
technique can be provided
Medium Intensity Classes
Aquacise
This pool based class is a fun and invigorating all over body workout
designed to burn calories with low impact on the body.
Shape & Tone
A mixture of aerobic and anaerobic exercises which focuses on
toning legs, arms and inner core muscles, whilst increasing overall
stability and balance
Legs, Bums & Tums
This class offers participants of all standards and abilities an up-beat
lower body workout specifically designed to tone-up and tackle
those problem areas
High Intensity Classes
Spin
This 45 minute indoor cycling Spin class is a fun and challenging
cardiovascular, workout using a stationary bike. Your instructor will
simulate a variety of sprinting and hill climbing drills enabling you
to build your cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and endurance
and increase caloric burn.

An hour of cardio conditioning
with the use of one tool – the
Kettle Bell. This class is based
on a sequence of exercises
to get your heart rate up
with controlled movement to
build muscular strength and
endurance.
We’ve listened to your
comments and, as a result,
have:

Boot Camp
This boot camp workout
focuses on full body fitness,
leading you through high
intensity muscular endurance
and cardio exercises which will tone & strengthen whilst burning lots
of calories.
20/20/20
Three workouts in one! The ultimate challenge and total body
workout. Sweat through 20mins of cardio, 20mins of strength training
and 20mins of core work.
High Intensity Training Session (HIT)
Take your fitness and fat loss to the next level with HIT! During the 45
minute session you will do a range of different exercises at a high
intensity, followed by short recovery bursts to increase and decrease
the heart rate to get you fitter.
Booty Shakers
This introductory-level booty shaking class provides a structured
method of learning various dance movements in a fun-filled and
vibrant class environment, and offers a new set of combinations
and routines. The resulting outcome is an energetic class that not
only teaches movements and technique, but also instills rhythm and
precision in your muscle memory
