Harwich Port at One Schoolhouse Road. Open Memorial Day
weekend through Columbus Day, Mondays through Fridays from
9 AM – 5 PM and Saturdays and Sundays 11 AM – 4 PM. Open
off-season Mondays through Fridays from 9 AM – 4 PM. Public

For daily and season ramp pass rates for Saquatucket Harbor and Allen
Harbor, please contact the Harbormaster (contact information below).
Food, fuel, bait & tackle are available at or near most Town landings.
Jet skis and water skis allowed on all salt water except on Herring River. They
are not allowed on fresh water.
Temporary dockage available for up to two weeks at $1.75 per foot
per night in season. Contact the Harbormaster for more information.

Come and enjoy miles and miles of windswept, white sand beaches. The
Harwiches boast 15 salt water beaches, 6 pristine fresh water beaches, and
4 well-protected harbors for swimming, fishing, and sailing.
The Harwich Recreation and Youth Department offers many summer
programs for Harwich year-round and summer residents - swimming,
tennis, and basketball, just to name a few. Pick up a Summer Program
Brochure at the Harwich Community Center after March 15th. Check out

Freshwater fishing permits are available at Harwich Town Hall. Saltwater
fishing permits are required as of 2010. Please contact the Town Clerk’s office
at 508-430-7516 for details.
Shellfishing permits and regulations are available at the Harbormaster’s
Office at Saquatucket Harbor Marina on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
9 AM until 3:30 PM. Permits are no longer sold at Town Hall. One day
permits may be purchased ahead of "digging day."

Cycling in the Harwiches is a great way to explore the town. The Cape Cod
Rail Trail offers a paved surface, few hills, and well-marked vehicle crossings.
Bike and helmet rentals for all ages are readily available. Call the Chamber at
508-432-1600 for maps with trail details and parking information.
