The Lavender Room
A welcome haven is nestled in the Infinity Waters apartment complex
in West Lakes, South Australia, for the over-worked, stressed-out or
just those that love five star pampering. The Lavender Room Organic
Day Spa is a blissful sanctuary where an ambient vibe awaits you from
the minute you walk in the door.
Serenity and tranquillity embrace you as you are warmly greeted by
friendly, passionate staff. The Spa waiting area is a sublime spot to sit
with your complimentary organic beverage or to look through the
extensive range of organic products in the spa boutique, hosting organic
premium skincare, bath, body and lifestyle products from around the
world. You can purchase anything from the purest organic beeswax
candles to luxurious organic cotton sheets and bamboo towels.
The Spa boasts its own organic product line that is used in most of
the unique in-house treatments. Among the favourites are Lullaby
Lavender Milk Bath, a decadent creamy blend delicately infused with
organic lavender oil and chunky cocoa butter pieces, and Vanilla &
Jasmine Body Whip, which is enriched with shea butter and honey.
Bliss for the skin! The spa menu at The Lavender Room has a wide
array of signature treatments, from sampler treatments such as the
Mini Bliss, a delicious mini facial with hot towels and foot therapy, or
the Little Spa, a mini hand spa with a healing organic rose-hip and
Manuka honey treatment, to heavenly half- and full-day spa journeys.
Body treatments include divine combinations of organic body
scrubs, organic cotton cocoons and even a warming vanilla chai body
treat. The array of customised facials is tempting, along with several
different forms of massage on offer, from the tantalising Indian head
massage using warm coconut oil, to Aromatherapy, Sports and even a
Pregnancy treatment that would have the tiredest of mums-to-be
walking out with a spring in their step! A standout signature treatment,
the Skin Serenity, lures you into a warm cleansing sandalwood and
jasmine exfoliation, then cocoons you in a skin soothing organic mask
while the heavenly hands of your therapist melt away tension from feet
and scalp. Soak up the sublime frangipani milk bath which awaits you
and float out on air after an exotic oil body massage.
Spa journeys include a Mecca of organic spa treatments. For the day
spa lover, you can’t go past the Infinity, a four and a half hour journey
that offers an amazing spa experience, and encompasses a full facial,
a massage using precious oils, a warm frangipani and coconut body
cocoon, an enriching hand spa with gorgeous scrubs and masks, and
hot stone hand massage! And just when you are about to start drooling
over how relaxed and rejuvenated you feel, your therapist gently guides
you to a huge immersion tub filled with a organic wild rose bath milk
and some organic beverages and treats to enjoy.
The Spa also offers expert waxing, professional make-up services,
and customised skin consultations. Large, spacious treatment rooms
are stacked with organic towels and robes and ‘couples treatments’ are
a specialty. The vibe of the Spa is intimate and personalised. No detail
is spared, with tea-lights sprinkled throughout the rooms, extra large
treatment tables draped in organic cotton bedding, fresh organic teas
and interesting magazines. Timber furnishings and beautiful warming
colours complement the feeling of ambience, with client comfort and
respect being an absolute priority.
Spa owners Anna and Russell are at the helm of this magical place
and their love of all things organic flows into the business. The
Lavender Room is open six days a week, including all day Saturday and
11-4 on Sundays, with trading until 7p.m. weekdays. A sanctuary of
wellness awaits. •
