Howie Mandel
While Howie Mandel has remained a constant force in show business for over 30 years, he has been
thrust back in the spotlight as the host of what has become a national phenomenon “Deal or No Deal.”
The show has become an instant hit and is consistently one of the most watched programs each week.
Howie Mandel’s versatile career has encompassed virtually all aspects of the entertainment spectrum,
including television, film and stage. From his work on the Emmy-Award winning “St. Elsewhere,” to
the international (and also Emmy nominated) “Bobby’s World,” Howie has become a mainstay of the
American comedy scene.
Howie started his career on a dare during a trip to Los Angeles in 1979. He was at the legendary
Comedy Store on amateur night and Howie was coaxed by his friends to get up and try his luck. As
fate would have it, there was a producer in the crowd who immediately hired him to appear on the
comedy game-show “Make Me Laugh”. His appearance on the show led to talk show appearances, a
stint as Diana Ross’ opening act and eventually to the television series, “St. Elsewhere,” where Howie
spent six seasons as “Dr. Wayne Fiscus” on the award-winning NBC drama.
Howie’s Emmy Award-nominated animated children series, “Bobby’s World”, ran eight seasons on FOX
and now appears in syndication six days a week in 65 countries. As the series’ creator and executive
producer, Howie was closely involved in its writing, as well as providing the voice of Bobby, Bobby’s
dad and other characters. Howie attributes the show’s success to drawing the story lines from real life.
sponsored by
government partners
Howie has done countless comedy specials both on cable and network television. He has also hosted
his own syndicated talk show, The Howie Mandel Show,” and continues to be a mainstay on the talkshow circuit. He frequently appears on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno performing his signature
hidden-camera bits. He also is one of the first people that Regis calls to fill in for him when he takes a
vacation from “Live with Regis and Kelly.” Howie also continues to perform as many as 200 concerts a
year throughout the US and Canada.
Tickets for Howie Mandel are $53.00 and can also be purchased as part of an LOL Sudbury Package
which includes premium seating for Howie Mandel, a choice of 1 LOL theatre show and 1 LOL bar show
for $100.00. Tickets can be purchased in advance beginning April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. through the Sudbury
Arena box office. Please call (705) 671-3000 to charge by phone, visit www.lolsudbury.com to order

Hosted by: Jean Paul
Jean Paul’s comedy is culled from his cultural crazy quilt of a childhood - born in Trinidad, raised in
Brooklyn and currently residing in Toronto. This in itself explains his kaleidoscope of accents.
He’s funked up, has a twinkle in his eyes, and is deadly articulate. Feeding off the vibe of a room
makes his performances electrifying. Says Jean Paul, “I was always into comedy, even as a kid. I found it
fascinating. Some of my friends were into model car kits. I was into Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Bill
Cosby.” www.jeanpaul.ca
Judy Croon
Judy Croon is a lot more than a top-rate comedienne. She has also applied her talents to radio,
television and fundraising. Judy co-hosted ‘Mike Bullard Uncensored’ on XM satellite radio’s ‘Laugh
Attack’ and the ‘Humble Howard Morning Show’ on Toronto’s Mix 999 and The Live Drive Show on
Montreal’s Q92 fm. Her television credits include, NBC’s “Friday Night”, CBS’s “48 Hours”, A&E’s “Comedy
on the Road”, CBC’s “Comics”, and Comedy Network’s “Comedy Now.” Judy is also the co-creator and
host of Laughlines (www.laughlines.ca) - an annual all female comedy night for Princess Margaret
Hospital. In the past six years, Laughlines has raised $ 640,000 for breast cancer research. www.

Laughs Festival in Montreal, and has since returned to the festival to host the competition the past few

the pressures and excitement of the contest with his unique brand of humour. Shortly after, Jon was
given his own show on The Comedy Network, The Jon Dore Television Show . Jon has appeared on his
own Comedy Now! special for CTV and The Comedy Network, on Comedy Central’s Live At Gotham.

“rising stars of the future”, and has recently been named to Variety’s Top Ten Comic’s To Watch list.

Alan Park
A cross between a stand-up comic and sit-down satirist, Alan Park was a regular cast member on CBC’s
Air Farce. Alan’s commentaries quickly became one of the most anticipated segments of the show
as he mocked reality and digging behind the headlines to find the vein of humour or the object of
weird but witty attack. A very accomplished writer and comedian, Alan is most comfortable walking
the precarious edge between the profane and the ridiculous. He’s starred in a number of his own
television comedy specials including CBC’s Comics, Comedy Now! on CTV and the Comedy Network,
and appeared on his own Just For Laughs Gala. A multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominee for
Best Male Stand-Up, TV performnace and Writing, and winner of the Western Canada Just For Laughs
Comedy Competition, Alan has headlined in comedy clubs across North America and the U.K. www.

Sylvain Larocque

cocasses. www.philippebond.com
