Digital Guardian’s Intellectual Property Protection (IP) Solution
Pack is an optional package of pre-written rules that greatly
extends Digital Guardian’s core “Point of Use” control, monitoring, and auditing capabilities, to focus specifically on
protecting and managing intellectual property. Intellectual
property typically comes in multiple forms and file formats,
and can represent a significant portion of a company’s assets,
as well as its competitive market advantage. The IP Solution Pack
was specifically designed to protect this type of information,
making it easy to configure Digital Guardian to comprehensively protect proprietary corporate information such as:
product designs, technical specifications, research data,
patents, process information, etc.

Digital Guardian’s IP Solution Pack is capable not only of controlling and tracking intellectual property use within an organization,
but also information that must, of necessity, be distributed and
shared with customers, and/or suppliers and partners around
the world. Using this Pack, companies can now quickly and easily
configure Digital Guardian to monitor and limit specific user
actions that put intellectual property at greatest risk. For
instance, protecting against illicit copying, transfer, printing,
remote access and e-mailing of proprietary information.
