by their high-dynamic performance

The positioning process of the chippers in chipping units of saw blades
in circular sawing machines and
curve saws places great demands on
the hydraulic components used.
Based on proven high-response control valve, Rexroth now offers a new
valve generation with integral axis
controller and field bus interface.
The decisive advantages: Via the
field bus the hydraulic axis drive is
directly integrated into the digital
control structure of the machine.
The axis controller can be easily parameterized and the command value
flexibly selected from the higherlevel control. The diagnosis of actual
values and status values (valve temperature, power supply) is handled
via the bus system. Faster error
analysis by means of remote diagnostic systems results in a significant
reduction in downtimes.

Quality through precision:
Veneer lathes ...
Apart from precise block centering,
high-quality veneers can only be
produced with accurate synchronism
of two hydraulic feed cylinders.
This synchronism is ensured by the
2-axis version of the HCN100 control with synchronization controller
and pilot operated high-response
control valves that are fitted directly
onto the low-friction cylinders.
This increases the load stiffness of the
drive, but also the shock load that
acts on the valve components. Here,
Rexroth offers decisive advantages:

protected by die-cast aluminum

Defining the speed of a cylinder.
Rexroth has learned that speed is
very hard to estimate and therefore
a speed measuring tool – MecSpeed
– has been developed. Customers
will be able to find cylinder speed
and also to measure cycle times.
MecSpeed works only on Rexroth
cylinders with magnetic pistons.
How to optimize the movement of
the cylinder
Using the impact/air cushioning
will reduce the brake forces. Reducing the air flow in the last part of
the stroke brakes the speed and the
motion will be stopped towards
the impact cushioning. That enables
the user to achieve the ideal pneumatic cushioning. In order to keep
the ideal cushioning, the pressure,
load and speed has to be kept stable.
