Students will then be able to comfortably understand animal breeds and at an early stage pass on any problems or information to vets or owners. Typical tasks include: •cleaning and grooming the animals •preparing food and feeding the animals •checking for illness and signs of distress •cleaning out animals’ accommodation and changing bedding •keeping relevant records and bookings where applicable Qualifications and Careers •answering questions and queries from visitors. Qualification 1: Animal Care Diploma Stable Management Diploma entitling you to use the letters SAC Cert after your name. On average this course is completed in 140 hours (7/8 months). Extensions can be arranged if students do not complete within the year and charges will apply.
