Natascha Rosenberg. Born in Germany and raised in Spain, Natascha Rosenberg has a trajectory of more than ten years in the world
of children’s illustration and design. She has illustrated many books in Germany and in Spain and has participated in many expositions all over the world.

Roberto Aliaga is a biologist, married, and has a lot of children: one daughter named Aroa, and a handful of children’s stories. He
received the Lazarillo Prize for illustrated comic book in 2008 with the first of his affairs, and book Cactus of the Desert was selected
by the prestigious Children’s Library of Munich to be placed on the White Ravens list in 2009. His books have been translated into
ten languages. With Narval, he has published the picture book Matilde Pompas, illustrated by Cristina Hernández.
Raúl Nieto Guridi. A versatile and fun illustrator, Raúl Nieto has been illustrating and designing for many years, something he does
in combination with teaching. The Old Man and the Daisy is his first book with Narval.

Ignacio Sanz (Lastras de Cuéllar, Segovia, 1953) is licended in Sociology and is author of several works of novels, short stories and
children’s books. He combined pottery with literature for years, and from 2005 he is author for full time
Noemí Villamuza borned in Palencia en 1971. She is licensed in Arts and has worked with several publishing houses. She teaches
Design in Barcelona from 2000 and has won several illustration awards and was in the List of Honour of IBBY.
This version of Tom Thumb is part of the collection The Illustrator Tells the Tale by Narval, which includes titles such as Little Red Riding Hood and Bluebeard, and in which the images are used to recreate a classic tale. Patricia Metola faces the challenge of illustrating the great tale of Tom Thumb,

Cayo Martínez (Valencia, 1987) spendt his chilhood in Africa, between giraffes, elephants and activists of Greenpeace. When he was

Patricia Metola is illustrator and designer. She works for several publishing houses and her work has been selectionades for the Mostra Degli Ilustratori of Bologna Book Fair for two years (2010 and 2011).

the ground. He is faced with difficulties when the circus he belongs to must travel from place to place. The
trapeze artist is said to be dedicated solely to perfecting his art.
Franz Kafka was an influential German-language author of novels and short stories. Contemporary critics and academics, including
Vladimir Nabokov, regard Kafka as one of the best writers of the 20th century.
Daniel Sesé borned in Barcelona in 1962. He is a well-known illustrator and designer. He also teaches Arts.

It is a book about the things we desire and what happens when we get them, as well as when we cannot
have them.
Raquel Díaz Reguera was born in Sevilla and currently works as a graphic designer, illustrator, composer and writer of tales and
songs.
Antonio Vincente is a journalist and sociologist. He has taught creative writing for both children and adults and has lectured for teachers on the educational value of sotrytelling. He has published stories of emotional education, dramatizations for the classroom and
textbooks for children with Edelvives, Edebé y Algaida. Among his most most known stories La pulga Leocadia, a tale with activites
for blind children publidhed by ONCE, and Otilia Inmagina, by Edelvives. As a journalist he has worked in La2, M80, RNE1 and
currently works at Radio Exterior de España.
Carmen Queralt (Madrid, 1952) is one of the most original illustrators of our time. Dedicated to the world of illustration for over
fifteen years, with a very personal style full of humour and imagination, she has filled many children’s books and magazines published by Spain’s finest publishing houses with images.

Samuel Alonso Omeñaca (Soria, 1966) has a degree in Philosophy and Education Sciences at the University of Salamanca.
He has a Masters in Publishing with a specialization in children’s literature. He has worked as a librarian at the Foundation Ruipérez Germain Sanchez and as a a literary adiver and codirector of the collection Otros Espacios at the publishing company Anaya. He currently runs 451 publishers, Edelvives.
Mónica Calvo has also illustrated the novel Las maletas encantadas, by Joan Manuel Gisbert.

Arturo Abad, from the Canary Islands, is a writer and storyteller for both children and adults. He has published various books.
Mónica Gutiérrez Serna is an illustrator, painter and has a PhD in Fine Arts. She has published many books for childrenw as an illustrator and writer, and has participated in several exhibitions.
Fran Nuño was born in Bilbao in 1973 and now lives in Sevilla. He is a writer, bookshop owner and publisher. He organizes numerous
cultural activities in schools, libraries and theatres. He has published several children’s books in diverse publishing houses and is the
author of the Manual of Techniques of Animated Reading. He has also published Deambulaciones, a poetry book for young adults and
his theatre productions are performed regularly in schools and theatres.
Jesús Escudero Cuadrado (Sevilla, 1979) is an illustrator and graphic designer. After obtaining a degree in Fine Arts in 2004 and
working as a graphic designer, he redirected his career towards illustration. He has worked on projects for the Ministry of Education,
the Department of Museums in Andalusia, several Spanish publishers and the magazines Hip flow Magazine, Revista Delibros, Rolling
Stone (Spain and Japan) and Mondosonoro.

Roberto Aliaga is a biologist, is married, and has a bunch of children: one girl named Aroa, and a handful of children’s books. He

Cactus del desierto (Desert Cactus) was chosen by the prestigious International Youth Library in Munich for the prestigious White

Cristina Hernández (Tarragona, 1969). When she turned six, she began to draw and abandoned all her toys to paint for hours and
hours, days and days, years and... Today she feels that she could travel wherever she wishes, without being limited by space and time,
and she has created a parallel world which she reflects in her illustrations, where she lives a storybook life.
Iratxe López de Munáin (Pamplona, 1985)
She borned in a city without sea. She uses to work between tons of papers.

There is a place so far away that nobody has ever managed to reach there without getting lost on the way.
The last king of this faraway land was kniwn as King Zar. It was known that he never married nor had
any children, that he used scissors instead of a sword, and that he managed to capture the mighty Firebird.
He never parted from the creature nor travelled without his faithful feathered companion by his side.
The sudden appearance of a mysterious suitcase in the middle of the forest perturbs the animals and causes
much curiousity. What is inside? Can they keep it? But who is it for? And how can they open it? During the
general meeting, the animals try to clarify all these questions until they realize that a stanger lurks in the forest.

Joan Manuel Gisbert (1949) is one of the great writers of children´s literature in Spain. He has won the most prestigious prizes in
his field (among others, the National Prize) and his work has been translated to over twenty languages. With a style that mixes
mastery of folklore with literature, fantasy with reality, he has constructed an incredible and fascinating universe which has won him
hundreds of thousand readers. Las maletas encantadas is hisfirst book with Narval.
Jaime Martínez Tomás (Madrid, 1974). Illustrator and freelance graphic designer especialized in ediitng and publishing. El pájaro de
fuego is his first book with Narval.
Mónica Calvo enjoys working as an illustrator, which is something she always dreamed of growing up. She has a design studio in which
she works as a graphic designer for advertising as well as illustration.She also owns an online shop in which she sells limited edition
prints of some of her illustrations as well as clay figures. She has published with Narval Samuel Omeñaca´s Barba Azul, from the collection «Los ilustradores cuentan».
