he technology behind the SR1
demonstrates reliability under
even the toughest conditions. The
gas-operated system manages extreme
temperatures as low as –25ºC flawlessly. The SR1 performed perfectly
in a firing test involving a wide range
of loads from different manufacturers with various bullet weights and
designs.
The SR1 is impressively precise. The
design of the gas piston and fore arm
enables free extension of the barrel
when hot – a feature that ensures tight
groupings when combined with the
renowned barrel production expertise
of Merkel. Not just under laboratory
conditions, but in real hunting situations.
