Mr. Rajesh Kalyanaraman interacts with some of our participants at the JTGJS show Jewel Trendz Gems and Jewellery Show continues to climb the ladder to success with the 3rd edition of the show held at the most coveted venue, Sahara Star Hotel, Near Domestic Airport, Mumbai on July 18-19-20. The show opened to a remarkable response by the visitors. Despite of rains, the who’s who of the industry was seen making their way to the JTGJS show to make it a huge success! Present JTGJS was inaugurated by Mr. Rajesh Kalyanaraman, Executive Director of Kalyan Jewellers, one of the biggest retail chains of India in presence of Mr. Govind Verma, CMD of Jewel Trendz India Pvt Ltd and Mr. Shamal Pote, Director of the company. Welcoming the guests, Mr. Pote expressed his gratitude to Mr. Kalyanaraman and welcomed one and all present at the show. With best wishes for the 3rd edition of the JTGJS, the show was visited with some of the biggest dignitaries of the gems and jewellery industry. Our participants took this opportunity to network with Mr. Kalyanaraman at the show. He was elated to visit and was impressed with the entire set up of the show. He appreciated the variety of products displayed at the show as he passed through the stalls at JTJGS. He said, “The show is very impressive and fulfils their objective of creating an extensive network for the gems and jewellery sector.” The show witnessed good number of footfalls right from the first day of the show which multiplied in doubles on second and third day. JTGJS helps boosting the market sentiment and garnered amazing response from the visitors from India and abroad. Supported by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) and BVC Logistics, JTGJS expanded their wings in this edition as they moved to Luxurious Sahara Star hotel, which amplified the enormity of the show. Built around a tropical lagoon under the world’s largest pillar-less dome, Sahara Star stood as one of the best destinations for B2B gems and jewellery show. Quotes... The turnout was outstanding; we have got visitors from Mansukh Choksiji of Janvi Jewels said, “We are completely satisfied with the organisers and the show. We have exhibited laser print pendant at the show, which is currently fast-moving in the market.” Sparsh Diamond Jewel Darshan Matushree Gold Rakesh Kothari, handles RSBL’s Sparsh said, “We have got a fabulous response throughout the show.” Paresh Shah of Jewel Darshan shares the response is overwhelming. “We have experienced terrific business during the shows,” says Mr. Shah Ankit Jain of Matushree Gold got a good business this time. He said, “With better venue and lot more participants, JTGJS definitely had better footfalls.” RKR Gold Mahashila Jewellery Dantara Jewellers Ramesh Srinivasan said, “We were very happy with the show. They launched fusion jewels of south which has been appreciated by the visitors at the show.” Nirmal Kothari said, “The response is very good in terms of turnout, restaurant service, management, everything is very good! Nakul Dantara shared, “The response is good, and we have been getting enquiries for our new range of products that includes light weight jewellery collection and Rajkot Mala.” S.S. Denish Makhwana said, “We are participating for the first time with JTGJS and we have got a good response. Sameer Todkari said, “We specialize in stones and beads and response is absolutely good. The arrangement at JTGJS is up to the mark.” Jinendra Jain said, “The response at the show is good. We have displayed some elegant, simplified bracelets that have gained attention of the visitors at the show.” Second &Third day The youngest President of the IBJA Shri Mohit Kamboj also visited the show on 2nd day. He was escorted by Mr. Govind Verma, CMD of Jewel Trendz through the exhibition. He visited the stalls of some of our esteemed participants like Bhawani Gold, Mehta Jewels, Mark CZ, L Javerchand, Palak Jewellers, Pravin Ornaments from Kolhapur, PGP Joyeria, Sparsh, Touch 22 (Shilpi from Ahmedadbad), Shanti S Seth Jewellers, Bhindi Jewellers, Ratnadeep Gold and others. The other renowned participants consist of names like Emerald, Jewel Darshan, KIK, Mehta Diamonds, Arihant Jewellers, Jai Gulab Dev, Mahashila Jewellery, Dhanishta Gold, Dantara Jewellers, AT Plus, Nice Diamonds, Matushree Gold and many more among 125 exhibitors at the show. Divine Solitaires, only loose solitaire brand in India also participated at the show. Mr. Bhavesh Seth, National Marketing Head of the company said, “We are overwhelmed by the response at the show.” JTGJS July edition received a grand opening with some of the renowned retailers and wholesalers, that visited the show from India and abroad. Mr. Joy, MD of renowned retail chain Joyalukkas who has worldwide reach in places like France, New York, etc. visited the show on 3rd day. He acknowledged the enormity and reach of the show that was gaining momentum within the gems and jewellery industry. He said, “JTGJS looks like small market for the gems and jewellery sector with some of best selective manufacturer and wholesalers of India. Located at the centre of Mumbai, the show is visited in greater number by retailers and wholesalers. The show is wellorganised and I am very happy.” Mr. Jayantilal Challani, founder of 50-yearold Challani Jewellery Mart and President of The Madras Jewellers & Diamond Merchants Association, was present on all three-days to encourage JTGJS. He was happy with the variants displayed at the show. “There are so many options, business is actually happening at JTGJS. Compared to IIJS, this show has lot more to offer. It is not just an exhibition beyond it, as people can actually sit and take a look followed by placing orders that encourages business opportunities for the participants as well as visitors,” shared Mr. Challani during the event. Mr. G.R. Radhakrishnan and Mr. G.R. Ananthapadmanabhan, MD of GRT Jewellers, India’s foremost jewellery store that deals with gold, diamond, platinum and silver jewellery honoured the 3rd edition of the show with their presence. Mr. Radhakrishnan said, “The show is very well organized, compared to IIJS, this is a better business platform.” Representatives of Bhima Jewellery (Kerala), Sarvana Selvarathinam Jewellers (Chennai), Swarovski Gems, Hansmukh Parekh Jewellers, PN Gadgil Jewellers, etc also visited the show. Ahammed M.P and Nishad A.K., Group Executive Directors of Malabar Gold Ornaments were present at the show. Dr. Arul Sarvana, Owner of Sarvana Selvarathinam Jewellers and Mr. Waman of Waman Hari Pethe also visited the show. The show served as an ideal platform for the visitors to get a peek through about new products in the market as well as they interacted with the best of wholesalers and manufacturers of the gems and jewellery industry. The show also witnessed wholesalers and retailers from Bangladesh, Delhi, Ludhiana, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Salem, Kolkatta, Raipur, Chennai, Vietnam, Israel, Turkey, etc. Mr. Chandraprakash Siroya, owner of Siroya Jewellers LLC in UAE and Vice Chairman of Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group (DGJG) also visited us. Responsible for ooverseeing the trade association’s activities to promote the gold and jewellery industry in Dubai to a regional and global audience, he was more than happy to visit the show. Mohammed Kaiser from Pure Zara Jewellery LLC, Dubai visited the 3rd edition as well. Not only visitors, but also exhibitors were extremely happy with the turnout on all three days of the show. The exhibitors at the show consist of a mix of manufacturer, wholesalers of gold, diamond, silver and gemstones. JTGJS was success in bringing focused platforms together to cater the growing needs and demands of the trade and market. Mr. G.R. Dantara Jewellers that specialises in 18 & 22 carat gold chains launched at the show. As announced at the pre-event, the 3rd edition of the show witnessed a number of new product and brand launches. Harsh Creations, a renowned manufacturer that caters to Mumbai, Rajkot and Kolkatta launched Mehta Jewellers at the JTGJS platform. Nirav Mehta, owner, says, “Mehta Jewellers would be manufacturing products for baby to bride, everything. We have got a fabulous opening through the show.” Emerald, leading manufacturing company from Coimbatore participating for the first time with JTGJS had kept an entire new range of affordable collection for the show. Mr Srinivasan of Emerald said, “We have introduced high-end gold and diamond jewellery as well as platinum jewellery collection was showcased at the show. The collection included rings, charms, pendants, etc.” Mark added to the glitz and glamour at JTGJS as they unveiled Mark CZ at the show. Mukesh Mehta, Director of the company said, “We have unveiled 3 new variants under Mark CZ at the show.” Prithviraj Kothari’s Sparsh Diamond, retail venture of one of the biggest bullion company RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd (RSBL) in India, made their debut at the show with aplomb. Rakesh Kothari, who handles Sparsh launched exclusive diamond jewellery collection – Aqua at JTGJS. Sparsh Diamond had also displayed 600 gm diamond necklace worth `1 crore which also received enquiry during the store. In addition to this, RSBL also launched Evanta Jewells that specialises in 18 & 22 carat gold chain and jewellery. Mr. Chintan Thaker of Evanta Jewells said, “Initially the wholesale store will be launched in Dubai and India.” RKR Gold from Coimbatore, who participated with us for the first time, witnessed a good turnout at the show. Mr. Hari P. said, “We have featured fusion jewels of south which includes light weight wedding jewellery collection. We launched the Mayura Collection, tessellated marble jewellery collection and wooden jewellery collection at the show.” Ambica Gold also launched light weight product Tiranga flag chains which gained momentum at the show. KIK Jewellery from Kolkata launched bridal collection in fancy shapes and made of different stones like pearl, white sapphire and other colourful gemstones. Laser print pendants launched by Janvi Jewels, Pineapple chokers by SS Jewellery, Inter locking bangles by Sukh Bangles, Kalajee Jewellery’s rings that can be turned into pendants, 18 Karat Italian jewellery collections by Dhanishta, etc were among few favourites at the show. Sambhav Diamonds had uniquely displayed a collection of 50 close setting necklaces that are exclusively manufactured in Bangalore. PGP Joyeria was launched by Kaustubh Gold at the 3rd edition of JTGJS. Specializing in antique jewellery, Joyera presented a wide variance of Polki antique at the show. JTGJS, July Edition was clearly a super-duper success as it witnessed good number of footfalls right from the first day of the show. With a good mix of exhibitors from different sectors of India, this edition definitely proved to be one of the best gems and jewellery show. Some of the stalls were ornamented so well that one was unable to walk away from them without visiting them once. The ample space provided within the stalls encouraged retailers to browse through jewellery conveniently and offer their business propositions with the exhibitors. In fact, there were many stalls in the show that used the latest technology to the fullest. There were tabs, LEDs used at multiple stalls within the show to keep in pace with the new generation. K’olears by Tare Gold Creations made use of Leap Motion Technology to attract visitors and showcase their jewellery collection in a digitally interactive way. Sparsh Diamonds introduced the concept of ‘augmented reality’, where person was able to wear the design on his/her neck with the help of tab placed at their stall. Palak Jewellers also had pyramid set at the entrance of their stall that highlighted their profile and products they excel in. Jewel House that specializes in diamond bangles participated with us for the first time. Spotlight - JTGJS Review Visitors Speak.. The 3rd edition also witnessed a lot of visitors from international market like Dubai, US, Turkey, Vietnam, Israel, etc. Mr. Mordy of Rapaport visited the show from New York. He told us that our show is much better than IIJS. He said, “Unlike IIJS, this show is clutter free and gives individual space to review the products on display at ease. The business scope is better than IIJS over here.” Mr. Sevilay Tekin of Güveni Jewellery Moulder from Turkey impressed with the show, said, “I am very impressed with the show, it has opened up new avenues for us.” Gurukrupa Exports of Surat that deals with diamond studded gold jewellery set in 18 karat and 22 karat respectively visited the 3rd edition of JTGJS. Mr. Bhavesh Sabalpara, Production Manager of the company was very impressed with the show. He said, “The entire set up is nice and if given a chance we would like to book a stall next time.” Swarna Palace Jewellers, manufacturers of fancy ornaments in gold and silver from Dhule showed immense interest in participating with us next time. Mr. Sardarmal Chaudhari of the company said, “I am impressed with the entire set-up and the show looks very promising in terms of business.” Ms. Jane Tames from Vietnam was very happy with the ambience. Having been visited IIJS, she said, “Unlike IIJS, things are lot more peaceful here. There we have to go through multiple security check-ups which get annoying. The hassle-free entry makes things pleasant.” Amritsar’s Sardar Gems &Jewellers and Avtar Singh Tanveer Singh Dealer were also glad to visit the show. They felt that show had a lot new to offer product wise. N. Sivakumar from Thangamayil Jewellery of Madurai also appreciated the show. He said, “JTGJS is far better than IIJS; as it is less crowded you get the space to check out products peacefully. However, we felt that the show had lots of manufacturers and wholesalers from Mumbai. Next time we would like to see wholesalers, manufacturers and exporters from different states of India.” Raghunathan V.V from Gitanjali also visited the show. The exhibitors attained great success as they were able to create new networks as well as forge strong bid with potential buyers across the nation and abroad. JTGJS has effectively succeeded in generating 80100 per cent business for the participants. Presence of close to 24,000 plus visitors clearly indicated the reach of the show. The party opened up avenues for social networking with the retailers while drinking and eating appetizers. It gave the participants a much required break after 2-day hard work at the show. Dance and singing shows were also organized to entertain everyone present at the party. Conclusion The credit for the success of this edition goes to the aggressive marketing initiatives carried on behalf of the Jewel Trendz Private Ltd. The promotional campaigns across India for each and every participant, welldesigned e-mailers, inviting VIP retailers, etc by a special team of Jewel Trendz all added to the triumph of the show. The Bombay Bullion Samachar (BBS) carried the advertisement of the show regularly for 15 days. Jewel Trendz Magazine, one of the best B2B gems and jewellery magazine left no stone unturned to promote the participants at the show in the magazine. The special edition of the Jewel Trendz Magazine featured all the participants extensively that helped them connect better with the retailers. The show presented a well mix of products that were manufactured by the participants. The services offered by the organisers in terms of hotel accommodation at Hotel Sahara Star, lunch and dinner facilities Lunch and dinner for retailers at JTGJS 46 were well appreciated. Big hoardings of many participants were hosted on the main highway that helped the visitors reach the venue as well as it created a perfect ambiance and real value for money deal for all the participants of the show. The welcome drinks offered to each and every visitor made them happy. The venue, the products featured at the stall was definitely an eye charmer for all the visitors. Free shuttle services were the key highlight of the show. The shuttle services were offered for to and fro of visitors from key areas within the city which made travelling convenient for the visitors. Hassle-free registration for visitors was appreciated by the visitors as well. For the first time in the history of Indian gems and jewellery industry, the company introduced Water, Tea/coffee for retailers at JTGJS Jewel Trendz | July September-February 2014 2014 an exclusive package for retailers which not only included stay facility at the Sahara Star Hotel but also many other services. The extended time limit for the show provided the retailers with ease for better business. The VIPs were given special attention by the Jewel Trendz Team to meet with their needs. All and all, the third edition of the JTGJS proved it once again of being one of the best gems and jewellery shows that encourages better business and networking within the industry.
