NEWS Democratic Women’s Club – Lee County, FL April2010 2009 January Words from our president “By the time you read this, I pray that all of you will have had a safe and enjoyable Holiday! My 8-month term as your DWC President is quickly coming to an end and I trust that it has been productive. I eagerly look forward to working with the new Executive Board and continuing to work together towards the democratic principles that we all believe in for all levels of government. We have all been blessed in numerous ways throughout 2009 and now we must by Nancy Simms prepare to do BIGGER and GREATER things in 2010. With all of the political contests “up for grabs” we will once again have our work cut-out for us and I’m sure that our hard-working DWC members will be up to the challenge. As we approach the New Year, let me leave you with these words of advice from Margaret Mead: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has!” Review: the Auction DWC OFFICERS Nancy Simms President 337-7920 Pat Carnevale Vice-President 368-7947 Charlotte Blitt 2nd Vice-Pres.
