WILL YOU RIDE WITH US?
Every mile matters.
At West Cancer Center, we believe that the best defense against
cancer is a healthy mind that is supported and educated by our
many resources, a strong body that is equipped with the most
accurate and targeted treatments the nation can offer, and
a courageous spirit that is fed and encouraged by our associates
daily. We want to be prepared to help our patients win their fight.
WHAT IS “FIGHT ON”?
Courage. Hope. Love.
“Fight On” is a tribute to patients, and
their families and doctors, who are
fighting cancer.
For 35 years, The West Clinic has been
the region’s premiere provider and
trusted voice of cancer care. To up
the ante against cancer, The West Clinic joined forces with
Methodist Healthcare, and The University of Tennessee
Health Science Center in 2012 to form West Cancer Center.
This partnership takes advantage of the strengths and
cultures of all three partners by ultimately providing a fully
integrated cancer program which will deliver
personalized and comprehensive cancer treatment to each
patient throughout their continuum of care. Now for the first
time ever in the city of Memphis, cancer patients will have
the benefits of a comprehensive cancer facility without
having to leave the comforts of home.
Our ultimate goal is to provide
World-Class Cancer Care in
Memphis, Tennessee.
RESEARCH.
EDUCATION.
CARE.
West Cancer Center’s goal is to make
a significant impact in the Fight On
against cancer in the Memphis community
and beyond. Through the partnership with
Methodist Healthcare & The University of
Tennessee Health Science Center we
have already developed a cancer
navigator team, enhanced and expanded
our genetic counseling capabilities,
recruited specialized oncologists,
expanded our clinical research program,
and much more. We will continue to
search for new treatments and cures,
spread awareness and education
throughout the community, and provide
the highest quality of care to anyone
afflicted with this powerful disease.
With your help, the funds raised in the
2014 Ride to Fight On will support
Research and Innovation at West Cancer
Center in areas such as:
• Translational Genomics – Research
and development of new ways to provide
individualized cancer treatment
• Hematology & Immunotherapy –
Developing ways to harness the patient’s
own immune system to help fight cancer
by targeting specific cells
• Women’s Cancer – Treatment of all
cancer types in women
