Hagley Museum and Library
This tour starts at Hagley Museum and Library, home to the
original, 1802 DuPont gunpowder mills as well as the du Pont
family’s ancestral home and mansion, Eleutherian Mills. During
your visit you will get a unique glimpse into 19th-century American
life and work at Hagley including the powder mills, estate, and
gardens, with live machinery demonstrations in the powder yard
and changing exhibits in the museum.

Herr’s Snack Factory
Stop number two on this behind the scenes itinerary is the
family-owned and operated Herr’s Snack Factory. Since 1946 the
Herr’s family has been supplying potato chips and dozens of other
snack food favorites. You’ll see snacks made from start to finish
and maybe even get a hot and fresh sample right off the
production line.
