Welcome to the
U.S PROPERTY MADE EASY
Concierge
The following pages are designed to give you quick
access to relevant information on sight seeing, things to
do, home services, shopping etc in the Fabulous Las
Vegas. As we are all locals we know the area very
well so if your looking for something in particular
and don’t find it on the following pages,
just give one of our friendly staff a call
and we are happy to assist you
however we can.
Where on earth do we begin? There is so much to do in Las Vegas it can be overwhelming, with enough
world-class entertainment, dining, nightlife, shopping, sightseeing and pampering to fill a year-long
holiday or longer. To start with, every hotel on the Las Vegas Strip has some kind of unique attraction to
tempt you in – the Venetian has canals complete with gondola rides, the Bellagio has incredible dancing
fountains, the Mirage has a mock exploding volcano and so on. And once you’re inside there are
enough casinos, shopping malls, no-expense-spared exhibitions, spas, zoos, pool parties, clubs and
theaters – not to mention dozens of restaurants and cafes – to keep you occupied for weeks.
But there is more to Vegas than hotels. Downtown Las Vegas is undergoing a dramatic transformation,
and while there’s still plenty of evidence of the old Vegas in this part of town, there’s lots of regeneration
too. The Fremont Street Experience is still the major draw, with its dazzling lights, street-performers, oldschool casinos and new-school zipline, but new attractions like the 2012-opened Mob Museum and the
Smith Center for the Performing Arts are luring an entirely new crowd.
And let’s not forget we’re in the middle of the desert either. Some of America’s most magnificent natural
sights are within easy day-trip distance, like the Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon and Lake
Mead. It’s perfectly possible to go from shopaholic to nature lover and back again in the space of one
day.

Aside from the fabulous style of the Strip, Down Town Las Vegas is well worth the visit. Also known
affectionately as ‘Old Las Vegas.’ This is where the Rat Pack entertained fans, gangsters owned the
streets and where you can get a look and feel to what it was like back in the hay-day.
Fremont Street is home to most of downtown's hotels and casinos. These are the original casinos of Las
Vegas and existed before the more famous Las Vegas Strip. Featuring several historical hotel casinos in a
more urban setting, it offers a more intimate and vintage experience compared to that of the Strip. The
Fremont Street Experience is a canopied street of the downtown area where casinos have been
connected to the street and to each other in a unique visual manner. With more than 2 million lights and
a state-of-the-art sound system, the Fremont Street Experience brings nightly shows through the world's
largest audio-video system. The $70 million attraction features the ultimate in multi-sensory entertainment.
It also brings a variety of exciting special events, cuisine, special entertainment and live concerts
throughout the year.
Local Las Vegas residents tend to come to Down Town / Fremont East to frequent their local bars and
clubs as apposed to the tourist spots on the strip. The Fremont East District has happening nightlife,
culture and a unique vibe you won't find on the Strip. Start the night right with a few drinks at some of
Fremont's newest hot spots, The Griffin and the Downtown Cocktail Lounge. In the same block, you'll find
Don't Tell Mama, an open-mic piano bar where Las Vegas entertainers go to be entertained, and the
Beauty Bar, where you can catch the latest indie band and/or get your nails done.
Check out the creative collection of artists, writers, photographers, clothing designers and more at the
Emergency Arts building in the Downtown entertainment district. Might as well stop off at the Vanguard
Lounge where they're handcrafting some of Downtown's finest cocktails, such as the Spicy Evangelist
and the Sherman Tank made with fresh apricots and black pepper bitters.
Try a night at the Classic Golden Nugget Casino with its water slide through a fish tank pool and marvel
at the street performers or catch a magic act or even jump on the Zip Line and coast down the main
street.
Take a stroll over to the stratosphere Casino, you wont be able to miss it as it stands a whopping 1,149
feet tall, the Stratosphere is one of the most identifiable landmarks in Las Vegas and offers nightlife,
dining and gaming that measure up. Be sure to dine at the ‘Top of the World’ restaurant, you will see the
entire city of Las Vegas with a table in the 360 degree rotating restaurant.
Featured Las Vegas Strip Attractions
Aside from all the only-in-Vegas hotel attractions, things to do in Sin City mainly revolve around eating,
partying, shopping and of course gambling. Card skills not quite up to scratch? Book yourself a free gaming
lesson at Circus Circus, Planet Hollywood or the Golden Nugget before hitting the tables. But Vegas is not just
about vices. Plain good fun experiences include: testing your inner crime-scene investigator alongside reallife forensic scientists at MGM Grand’s CSI: The Experience; diving with sharks at Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef
Aquarium; exploring the excellent Titanic Exhibition at Luxor; a few rounds of golf at Wynn Las Vegas, or
becoming a trainer for a day at the Mirage’s Dolphin Habitat. Outside the city limits, there’s a wealth of
natural and man-made attractions to discover. Drive or cycle Red Rock Canyon’s 13-mile Scenic Drive,
take a flight over the Grand Canyon, tour inside the Hoover Dam’s powerplant or go for an invigorating hike
at Mt. Charleston, the highest point in Nevada and just 35 miles from the city.

Evening Entertainment
It’s not known as Sin City for nothing – Las Vegas is undoubtedly an adult’s playground. Nights out in Vegas
can be as sophisticated or as raucous as you like. Some prefer a relaxed meal and a show followed by
cocktails overlooking the Strip, while others will want to hit up the bars and dance till dawn at the city’s best
clubs. Either way, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
For dramatic, acrobatic or musical entertainment, you can’t go wrong with one of Cirque Du Soleil’s seven
incredible shows, including the Beatle’s LOVE at Mirage and newest show Zarkana at Aria. Water-based Le
Rêve at Wynn offers similar feats of human artistry, while Blue Man Group at Monte Carlo and illusionist shows
like Criss Angel’s Believe and Penn & Teller at the Rio are equally popular.
For an altogether calmer experience, head straight to Parasol Down at Wynn or to the 23rd floor of Mandarin
Oriental, where the mellow and very glamorous bar looks out over the entire Las Vegas strip.

Top Las Vegas Strip Dining Spots...
Fast food, casual bistros, all-you-can-eat buffets and some of the most respected fine-dining restaurants
in the world – they’re all here in Las Vegas. The city has firmly asserted itself as one of America’s best
dining destinations over the past two decades, so your only problem will be deciding where to go.
For upscale flair, try Sage at Aria for New American cuisine and a speakeasy-style cocktail bar. Mizumi at
Wynn offers modern Japanese dishes overlooking koi ponds and gardens, or try Fleur by Hubert Keller at
Mandalay Bay for global small-plates tapas. For more casual fare try the half-Chinese noodles/halfMexican tacos menu of China Poblano at the Cosmopolitan or the new gastropub Public House at the
Venetian (which boasts the only beer sommelier in Nevada).

Local Universities
This is a list of colleges and universities in the U.S. state of Nevada. The higher education system of Nevada is
composed primarily of public two- and four-year institutions, private four-year institutions, and two- and fouryear for-profit schools. The largest college in the state is the College of Southern Nevada with over 37,000
students and the smallest is privately run Morrison University with 134 students.
The eight public institutions are under the control of the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) (formerly
the University and Community College System of Nevada "UCCSN") and are divided into comprehensive
colleges and community colleges. An unusual characteristic of the community colleges is that they award
bachelor's degrees in recognition of the limited resources of the state. The most recent public college is
Nevada State College in Henderson, Nevada, which was founded in 2002.
The private colleges of Nevada are divided into non-profit and for-profit institutions, with several branches of
national for-profit institutions such as the University of Phoenix and ITT Technical Institute.
