RIMMSA manufactures pressure parts in compliance with A.S.M.E (American Society of Mechanical
Engineers) and it is regulated by Bureau Veritas having the following certificates of authorization . The
repairs on site are done according to NBIC. (National Board Inspection Code)

Fabrication highlights: RIMMSA Completed and shipped 120 Water
Wall Panels, 112 Economizer Elements, 156 Superheater elements,
104 Reheater Elements and 24 headers with a total weight of 886
Tons, consisting of 56 truck loads of ASME pressure part
components in 8 months.
Installation highlights: RIMMSA installed all the pressure parts, new
Howden air preheaters, ducts, insulation, refractory, Peabody
burners and supplied through T&M all the qualified labor for the
redesigned condenser works. Over 17,000 (shop & field) pressure
part welds at time of final Hydro, there were a total of 8 leeks.

RIMMSA developed all the project detailing drawings by inverse
engineering, supply of boiler tubes, ASME Fabrication of all
pressure parts, (230 Tons) hydrostatic test, pneumatic test,
Radiographic test, PWHT, Painting, chemical cleaning,
instrumentation, expansion joints, duct work, stack paint, and
more…The installation works executed according to the National
Board Inspection Code. (-R- Stamp)

PROJECT
Monterrey Unit 41 Once- Through Cooler (OTC) Retrofit. Consists on
changing tubes with fissures and pressurizing the component air side and
water side to assure the reparations were made correctly.
SCOPE
RIMMSA completed more than 450 welding joints with 0% of rejection as
well as Non Destructive Test:
• Ultrasonic test
• Penetrant test
• Radiographic test
The result was 100% of acceptance, as well as hydro test reaching to a
pressure as per ITP specified. The retrofit was finally stamped with our –
R- Stamp according to National Board Inspection Code.
