Often these businesses are small and family-owned, and yet they donate with full hearts. Patronize them. Thank them. Let them know you saw their ad here. Remind them of why you choose to support them. Let the friends of the shelter know their support means so much not only to the animals, but to you and their community at large. We of the Spring Dance and Auction Committee applaud them! The legacy of your soaring spirit and boundless love remains ever-present. Your life’s odyssey, a kaleidoscope of treasured images; a frightened puppy flown to us from Tennessee – the seemingly endless romps across the lawn – chasing tennis balls, Frisbees, woodchucks – a tentative adolescent, gingerly testing the transformation of his summer playground to chest high snow. Each passage – an increment to our relationship – twelve magical years of joyous experiences, intertwined lives, until the devastating diagnosis of a degenerate disease that had no remedy, offered no hope – culminating with the tearful finality of our last mutually exchanged kisses. These fragments – cherished memories to be recalled and recollected – brought to the forefront of our thoughts – reflected in mind’s eye, and enshrined in our shattered hearts forevermore.
