Box 231, Silver Creek, NY 14136 FACILITIES AND CAPABILITIES … Excelco/Newbrook, Inc. is located 40 miles south of Buffalo NY directly off Interstate 90. The facilities are approximately 63,000 ft2. Activities are carried out in several buildings including an engineering and administration facility, a fabrication shop, machine shop, warehouse, and a painting and boxing facility. FABRICATION – The fabrication bays have overhead crane capacity to handle components up to 40 tons with a height of 35’ under the hook. The crane services several weld positioners and fabrication tables. The largest bay is 80’ wide by 160’ deep. MACHINING – The machine shop has overhead crane service throughout with capacity up to 40 tons and ceiling height of 35’. The machines are arranged to allow easy forklift load/unload access. ASSEMBLY/TEST CLEAN ROOM – Both the fabrication and machine shops have clean room areas for assembly or testing operations requiring high levels of cleanliness. Trained technicians and experimental mechanics are available to undertake your most challenging complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations. Our engineering staff is always available for technical support as required. FLEXIBLE FLOOR PLAN – Since project building is such a large portion of our business, change is constant on our shop floor. Machines are routinely moved to support production, structures erected for a special purpose and manufacturing cells arranged to optimize the manufacture of a batch run. Box 231, Silver Creek, NY 14136 MILLING… Excelco/Newbrook, Inc.’s milling capabilities consist of modern CNC equipment that is directly hard-wired to a CAM program distribution center and numerous conventional machines that are available to support the CNC equipment as necessary. All CNC programs are written by our manufacturing engineering staff using Camworks, a fully integrated software package for 3D applications requiring complex surface modeling and machining. These engineers are pleased to work from your paper drawings, IGES files or directly from solid models (ProE, SolidWorks, etc.) via the internet. Part sizes up to 325 cubic feet easily fit on the CNC equipment. For larger parts, special CNC setups can be made or conventional machines used depending upon the particular application. An overhead crane with 80,000 lb. capacity services the CNC equipment for loading/unloading parts and a 60,000 lb. capacity crane services the larger conventional machines. All of the CNC milling equipment utilizes a common family of Fanuc controllers. The next page displays a list of milling centers currently in production at Excelco/Newbrook, Inc. TURNING… Excelco/Newbrook, Inc.’s turning capabilities cover a range from under 3 inches through 6 feet in diameter and lengths over 16 feet on fully CNC turning equipment. Larger sizes, up to 14 feet in diameter and 13 feet long can be handled on conventional machinery. The equipment is centrally located with easy access for loading using overhead cranes. All of the CNC equipment is directly hard-wired into Excelco/Newbrook, Inc.’s CAM program distribution center. This DNC system is part of our company’s LAN network. It allows remote upload/download of CNC code. This fully integrated CAD/CAM DNC system provides us the ability to edit CNC code at the machine tool and send it back to the server for storage or to request any one of the programs residing on the server when needed by the machinist. All of the CNC turning equipment utilizes either an Anilam or Fanuc PC controller interface. This commonality is beneficial in three ways – ease of programming and editing of CNC code, increased skill and familiarity with machine operation and also reduced downtime for maintenance. WELD/FABRICATION… Our welding and fabrication capability covers a wide range of materials, sizes, complexity and applications. Typical fabrications often resemble one of the following three types: Hand held structures welded from fully machined components. Assemblies made from standard plate and shapes Very large and complex components combining machined parts, shapes and plates, requiring final machining all over. Our welding processes include Gas Tungsten Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Shielded Metal Arc, Submerged Arc and Flux Core, in manual, semiautomatic and automatic modes using state of the art equipment including AVC’s, Vision Systems, arc oscillators and system controllers. Excelco/Newbrook, Inc. has been a leader in developing procedures for shop environment welding of high strength steel alloys and high strength non-ferrous materials including aluminum, nickel and titanium alloys. This capability allows Excelco/Newbrook, Inc. to build large structures using exotic materials. Typical materials we weld are included in the table on the next page: Telephone (716) 936-2644 Fax (716) 934-2054 www.excelco.net EXCELCO/NEWBROOK, INC.
