Presidents Report:
Hello All Members, New and Old,
A special thanks to Russell and Jules Blackshaw for providing morning
tea at their place on the Sunny Coast on 26th June for our members
who went on the club run to Ricks Diner at Palmwoods. About 20 cars
went on the club run and a good day was had by all.
Thanks for cooking Jules!
Thanks to those who’ve put up their hands to help at All American - both
on the Saturday and Sunday. Working bee to set up on Saturday from
12 Noon at Rocklea Showgrounds. A couple of shifts required so we don’t
burn people out. The early Sunday morning helpers need to be there at
5:30am to get things moving through the gates with the swappers and
early bird bargain hunters. Later shifts start around 7:30am.
See you at Rocklea on the 17th July.
Safe cruising in your Chevies.

Presidents Report:
Hot Rod show dates for 2017 – 3rd – 4th June. Deposit paid for the 2017 event. Decided at last QHRP meeting
that the Swap Meet would not be going ahead this year. The cost to hire and stage the event and the amount of
work wasn’t worth the effort and resources - may be better put towards having a hot rod/street machine on
display in 2 shopping centres – one northside and one southside in the lead up to the show.
Condolences to Katrina and David Martin and family on the passing of Davids mother last week.
General Business:
· Forestdale Motor Show – Sunday 21st August – this will be the August club run – more details at August
meeting.
·
Discussion on using Aden Jacobi to do artwork for next years National Chev Festival – agreed to spend
around $600 and have the shirt/flyer/promo design done professionally by Aden.
·

email to our club and Shoebox club members.
