Meeti ng, the membershi p w i l l be aske d t o vot e on
several recommended rul e changes. Am ong t hese
i tems are the acceptance of headfoi l s, as well as a
modi fi cati on to the sai l acqui si ti on rul e. I n addit ion,
there has been a recommendati on to adopt t he less
restri cti ve regul ati ons of Offshore R acing Council
C ategory 4. W e i ntend to send formal ballot s t o t he
membershi p earl y thi s w i nter. Onl y those owner s who
have pai d 1981 dues w i l l be recei vi ng the ballot s. So, if
you w ant to have a voi ce i n the future of t he T- Ten
C l ass, make sure your are currentl y a rnem ber .

peted in three days of racing at this
year'sBay Week.The event included
participantsfrom the south Shore of
Lake Erie, Toledo,and Detroit fleets.
Conditionswere generally 15-20
knots, with occasional 30 knots in
squalls,making for some great surf-
ing opportunities and outstanding
boat speeds.

a n o n g o ing contest to see how hi gh
w e c o u l d run the speedometer, and
th e re c o rd w as 16 knots. Tw o peopl e
w e re o n w atch 4 hours at a ti me. w i th
1 /2 -h o u r hel m changes. C ooki ng
