The Ankle Arthroscopy Instrument Set is a result of this pursuit – the first and

The three smaller, microfracture picks (one with a uniquely angled 90º tip) enable
easier access to hard-to-reach chondral surface defects. Sharp durable points enable

Bone and Spur Resection
Osteotomes offered in the set include small and large options with both straight and
angled shafts. These are ideal for bone removal in open and arthroscopic procedures.

Specialty Instruments

Precise Soft Tissue Resection
Both slender and large Punches are included in the set for precise tissue resection,
enabling fine resection ability with a slender Punch and fast tissue removal with the
large Punch. Each Punch has a 2.75 mm diameter straight shaft and low profile
head for ease of use in tight joint spaces. These instruments are offered in either
ring handled or WishBone configuration and exemplify the quality, durability and
precise tactile feel that are synonymous with Arthrex. The low profile tips are ideal
for smaller spaces and enable precise resection control.

GPS Targeting Drill Guide
The GPS Targeting Drill Guide is available as an adjunct to the Ankle Arthroscopy Set
or as a stand-alone instrument set. It offers the ability to precisely place Kirschner
wires for ankle arthrodesis using cannulated screws, retrograde drilling of osteochondral lesions, as well as a multitude of other applications where precise
K-wire placement is desired.
The sturdy aluminum frame offers a lightweight and precise instrument capable
of rotating, while allowing pinpoint placement of 1.1 mm, 1.6 mm and 2.4 mm
K-wires. A variety of patterns from a single hole to a 2-, 3-, and 4-hole pattern
in the 1.1 mm and 1.6 mm sizes are available.

Made with the same attention to detail as their larger counterparts, the disposable
distal extremities’ shaver blades and burrs provide outstanding performance in bone
and tissue resection applications. The disposable shaver blades and burrs can be
used in all APS II shaver handpieces and can be inserted with the cutting window
in the up or down position.
5 mm Cannula and Obturator

5 mm cannulas are the lowest profile on the market. Reduced sizes are less constraining
in tight spaces, allowing the user unparalleled functional space. The clear design
allows for direct visualization of instruments and suture passing, and the ribbed shaft
design controls the insertion depth and helps prevent “fall-out”.
The PowerPick provides a fast and easy method for performing microfracture procedures
using the APS II Shaver System. A 1.5 mm drill tip extends 4 mm to penetrate cortical
bone with a flick of the lever. PowerPicks are available with tips curved to 30° and 45°
to facilitate perfect drill tip placement in a variety of operative sites.

of the arthroscopic work space. The double dam, one-piece molded silicone design

Arthrex CoolCut Radio Frequency Ablation
®
The new line of CoolCut radio frequency devices features an innovative ergonomic
handle with finger-touch controls. The 90° versions have a unique shape that allows
for maximum extension from the tip of the electrode to the shaft of the device, while
still fitting through a 5 mm cannula. The new CoolCut shaft coating facilitates easy
insertion through both working cannulas and subcutaneous tissue. The pioneering
design of the CoolCut electrode tips makes it possible to operate the CoolCut series
at extremely low power settings, thereby increasing patient safety without sacrificing
performance. The reduction of the power requirements also allows for the absence
of a ceramic ring surrounding the electrode face, reducing the size of the tip which
aids in reaching target tissue in anatomically tight spaces.

Noninvasive Ankle Distractor Set
The Noninvasive Ankle Distractor Set is designed to provide ankle distraction in a simple and
effective manner. With the large tensioning wheel, the surgeon can easily increase or decrease
the desired tension during diagnostic or surgical arthroscopy procedures. The unique design
places the tensioning wheel to the side of the bed, enabling the surgeon to move closer to the
patient and the surgical site. The Clark Rail Adapter makes attachment and rough tensioning
of the device simple and hassle free. A complete arthroscopy set-up is achieved when used in
conjunction with the Small Joint Limb Holder and ankle strap.
The Ankle Arthroscopy Distraction Strap is used in conjunction with the Noninvasive Ankle
Distractor Set. It is made of strong nylon strapping material with soft nonslip foam pads for
patient comfort and secure hold. This easy-to-use, one-size-fits-all device offers effective traction
and grip, which gives the surgeon a distinct advantage over current distraction methods.

Distal Extremities Limb Holder
The Small Joint Limb Holder is the perfect accompaniment to the Ankle Distractor
and is ideal for ankle positioning in the supine position. This versatile limb positioner
has an adjustable post for Clark Rail attachment. A small tourniquet or optional
foam insert may be used for limb fixation.
The waistband Ankle Distraction Strap’s foot halter is manufactured from soft, pliable
cotton webbing and may be adjusted to fit any size foot, while being secured with
an anterior Velcro® strap. A second belt attachment is looped through the foot halter
and around the surgeon’s waist facilitating slow, controlled, intermittent distraction
of the joint.
