Oscar Guerrero became a darling all over Latin America in 2007 after
interpreting Pablo Manuel in the Chilean-Puerto Rican production of the
soap opera Don Amor. That same year he filmed the movie Around June,
directed by James Savoca where he was June’s lover. But perhaps his big
opportunity to start his movie career in the United States came with I
Witness (2002) where he worked with Jeff Daniels, James Spader and
Portia de Rossi, after being casted because of his work as an actor and
dancer in Puerto Rican television and in the theater.
He started working in television with the production Locos de amor
(Crazy in love) 2001 under the production team of Jorge Luis Ramos and
Vicente Castro, with whom he also worked in several other movies done
for local television like: La fiebre (The fever), Nacimiento (Nativity) and El
Tesoro del Yunque (El Yunque’s Treasure). In 2006 he did Vanished, for a
television station in the United States.
Guerrero is passionate about dancing and his passion took him to
act and dance in several musicals in Puerto Rico, including Grease,
directed by Joseph Aguayo and the S.S. Titanic, under Gilberto
Valenzuela, among several others.
In the new movie, Miente, Oscar Guerrero is Henry: a shy young
man whose life changes completely after meeting Paula and Diff, the
other main characters of this psychological thriller produced by Isla Films
and directed by Rafi Mercado.
Mariana Santángelo
Paula
Mariana Santangelo started acting in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she
was born. She later became a star all over the world because of her role
of Elisa, a single mother who started working as a prostitute in order to
survive as the leading actress of the movie En la puta vida (Tricky
Life),directed by Beatriz Flores Silva
and
which
became
the
first
Uruguayan movie to be nominated
to an Oscar as Best Foreign Film.
With Tricky Life, Santangelo’s
life changed completely due to the
sudden success of the movie that
took her to travel all over the world.
She won several Best Actress Awards
including various festivals in Spain like
Mérida and Madrid, as well as the
Viña del Mar Festival in Chile. In 2002,
Santangelo moved to Spain where she did several shows for television
and filmed her next movie, El alquimista impaciente (The Impatient
Alquimist), directed by Patricia Ferrerira.
By 2003, Mariana Santangelo was living in Los Angeles, California
where she currently resides with her husband and her son, Lorenzo. After
taking a break to become a mother, Santangelo came back to acting
but this time in English with a character in the ABC series What About
Bryan, where she worked with Roxanna Arquette.
With Paula, her role in the new movie Miente, Santangelo makes
her comeback as a movie actress with a role that changes Henry’s life
completely because of her beauty and sensuality. Certainly a role that will
forever change Santangelo’s life as well.
