We have plenty of exciting news to share in
this edition of the Datamine Newsletter. As
you may have read in the media, Datamine
has a new owner - Constellation Software
Inc (TSX: CSU). We will provide some insight
into the exciting pathway this opens and
how Datamine customers will benefit.
The development team has been coding
night and day to bring significant upgrades
to customers in 2015. Many are already
benefiting from the upgrade path
from Downhole Explorer to Studio EM
(Exploration Management). This represents
a significantly enhanced capability with
the addition of 3D visualisation and basic
modelling features to this entry level
exploration offering.
In September, we will commence the rollout of Studio RM (Resource Modelling). A
preview is shared in this edition and we will
be in touch with each customer individually
to plan the upgrade process in line with
maintenance renewals.
Aegis continues to blow away previous
notions of best practice drill and blast.
Customers are adopting this product at a
faster rate than we’ve seen with any new
release in memory. With great visuals and at
least 50% time savings over any competing
product, it is easy to see why.
Finally, UGSO is available from September
2015 and opens up the processing power
and ease of access benefits of deploying
trusted optimisation engines through the
cloud on our secure Summit platform.

STUDIO RM PREVIEW
Finally, a product tailored for geology !
Engineers have been enjoying the benefits
of tailored products for years, with the likes
of Studio 5D Planner and Studio OP well
established and used on a daily basis by
thousands of mining engineers around the
world.
Tailored products allow for workflows and
logical groupings of commands that provide
a more intuitive user experience without the
loss of flexibility and power that comes with
over 1000 underlying commands available in
the Studio technology.
Studio RM represents a departure from
the toolbox system in Studio 3 and its
predecessors. Rather than trying to be ‘all
things to all people’, Studio RM is designed
specifically to cater to the needs of the
resource geologist.
This is exciting news, as for the first time,
geologists have a product that has been
designed from the ground up with them in

AEGIS UPDATE
Aegis continues to impress and excite in
every technical demonstration. Customers
have adopted this superior underground drill
and blast system at an incredible rate, and
we continue to deliver small enhancements
that deliver that little bit of extra polish for
particular scenarios or use cases.
The latest release (update 12) includes the
ability to import surveyed holes and overlay/
compare to the design. The surveyed holes
can then be used for the charging process, and
locked to prevent accidental editing. There are
also improvements to the isosurface options
for different explosive types.
