Wagfest 2014 Join hundreds of dogs and the people who love them at our annual Wagfest, the party in the park that celebrates animals and supports Elmbrook Humane Society (EBHS). There will be many activities for dogs and humans of all ages at this unique event! Remember, you don’t have to own a dog to enjoy the fun and help raise money for animals in need! This year, our Wagfest is bigger than ever and will feature popular canine activities that any dog can try, as well as more vendors, great food, games, live music and so much more! That is why Wagfest is the place to be, and it keeps getting more exciting each year! All of our activities are set up to promote the strong human-animal bond, something that EBHS believes is fundamental in a society where animals are treated humanely and cherished as members of our family. We have special admission packages available and all pre-registered individuals will receive $10 worth of tickets, and pre-registered families will receive $20 worth of tickets to use on lure coursing, food, games, and other activities! Why Come? 100% of all proceeds help the animals! Wagfest directly supports EBHS - Waukesha’s only no kill animal shelter in our efforts to save animals in need and educate the public about the humane care and treatment of animals, promote spay/neuter, and encourage adoption of homeless animals. Rules: You must sign the waiver below to participate. All dogs must wear an identification tag and be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. All dogs must be current on vaccinations, including rabies. Threatening or disruptive dogs and dogs in heat will be asked to leave. Walkers must clean up after their dogs. Children 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult. Waiver: I understand that participating in Elmbrook Humane Society’s (EBHS) Wagfest on September 6, 2014, includes an element of risk to both myself and the dog(s) I may bring to the event. I should not participate unless both the dog(s) and I are physically able and properly trained. I understand that event officials may authorize necessary emergency treatment for me or my dog(s). I also understand that I assume the risk of participating in Wagfest, and I assume any and all other risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to illness, traveling to and from the event, falls, contact with other participants or dogs, the effects of weather (including temperature extremes and humidity) and the surface condition of the park, the roads, sidewalks and trails. All such risks being understood and appreciated by me, I also affirm that the dog(s) I will be participating with are currently licensed, with current Rabies (if over 4 months of age), Distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines before the event. I further agree to abide by all the rules of participation in this event. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant to sue, and waive, release and discharge Elmbrook Humane Society, Inc., the City of Brookfield, the County of Waukesha, event officials, volunteers and any and all other sponsors, suppliers, agents, independent contractors, employees and any other of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or parties named in this waiver. I also understand and agree that EBHS, the City of Brookfield, the County of Waukesha and any sponsor or participant may subsequently use, for publicity or promotional purposes, my name, information, or image, without liability or obligation to me. Since we are a NO KILL shelter saving many sick and injured animals, many senior dogs and cats and other animals that need long term care, our resources are constantly stretched! We are challenging our Wagfest attendees to each raise $350 from taking pledges and donations from friends and family.
